Fired Up Henry L broke the pacing track record to highlight the nine-race card on the first day of the Union County Fair meet in Marysville, Ohio, on Monday (July 27). The 3-year-old Catch The Fire gelding led gate to wire and won by three-quarters of a length in 1:54.3 with trainer Hank LeVan in the sulky for owners LeVan Stables and Megan LeVan. That time bested the prior pacing track record of 1:55.3 set by Calvin L in 2021.
That was one of four wins for LeVan as trainer-driver on Monday. He also scored victories with Rudedude L, Tango L, and Oheneba.
Cameron McCown finished with three wins, guiding Heerzadiamondstud, Liberty Biberty, and Heerz Corinthian to victory for trainer Jessica McCown.
The two-day Union County Fair meet concludes on Tuesday (July 28) with a nine-race card starting at 11 a.m. The races will be live streamed on the OHHA YouTube channel.
