We still have some rams from our 2024 drop available, just in time for a February/March joining 😊 These guys have been doing it hard over Summer, but still manage to look good despite the heat and dry. They’re built tough, and bred for drought conditions. Even after our years of breeding Dorpers and White Dorpers they still amaze me with their ability to perform.

Bringing some of the rams in for their yearly shots. They take their time, ambling along at their own pace. Travelling along behind them, it's nice to see how they've matured and how the younger rams are developing :)

Fun day weaning the lambs :) Average of 30kgs, 70 days post-lambing.

Unlike a lot of farms we split our lambing into four sessions through the year. This allows us to have a constant supply of rams at various ages for our clients, and it allows us to capitalize on the Dorper's high, year-round fertility. The reproductive performance of this breed is amazing. The ewe mothers will be given a couple of weeks to put some condition back on, then will be joined with another ram to begin the cycle again.

Bringing the ewes in to see how they're going. It's been a rough couple of months and I'm looking forward to rain, but I'm thankful we have white dorpers and dorpers. They're tough and well suited to drought conditions... ... ... Still looking forward to rain tho :)
