Hi all horsey friends. I'm fortunate to continue a retail relationship with Earlwood Equine and can do customer orders through Tree Haven Equine. If there's anything you'd like to order please contact me for anything you need. All mine will be in the dual season rugs for the cooler weather and Minnie and Jester will be wearing their show sets for the next season.

Exciting times in the new year. We have sold here in Winslow and purchased that once in a lifetime 38 acre horse property in Navarre. Close to Great Western and positioned in a terrific area for competitions and showing. Beautiful old home, stables, arena, day yards, night paddocks. Not much to do or change for our horses other than the usual wants rather than needs. Perfect for my friends who want to bring horses up to compete and do the Wimmera Run for shows. The training business is going with us so the sign on Caramut Road will come down shortly. Col gets to retire but won't be short of jobs to do 🤣. Looking forward to our next chapter.

1982 Dual Cab Horse Truck
Fits 3 small horses/ponies or 2 large horses. Plenty of room in the cab, 2 x anchor points for kids car seats. Fridge, air conditioner, microwave, bench, pantry, cupboards and draws in living area. Queen bed in luton peak. 12v battery system that runs fridge and lights, solar panel on roof.
Horse area has 2 under head cupboards for gear and a mesh rug rack.
3kva generator under truck.
A great little truck that has been super reliable. An oldie but a goodie!
There are areas of rust in the cab.
Odometer stopped working about 12 months after we purchased at 245,000. Would estimate it to now be around 300,000km.
Selling without RWC, registered till August 2025.
Only for sale due to upsizing, with kids now riding we need to carry more horses.

Very excited to offer bit fitting with Jo Swinton from South Australia, on Sunday 26th of May here at Tree Haven Equine in Winslow. Jo is a competitive dressage rider with many years of equine experience both nutritionally and nutritionally. Jo is not aligned to a specific brand and will recommend what's best for the horse. $120 per fitting (for an hour or longer if needed). Please PM me to book a time. We have a small working area here if you'd like to ride for the fitting. Plenty of room to park your float in Whittons Lane.

Exciting times ahead for Tree Haven Equine. Starting in 2024 I will be offering horse sitting services.

Being a horse owner myself I know how hard it is to plan for a holiday. I've been lucky to have capable, reliable friends look after my horses, but I understand it can be a headache to find someone trustworthy and reliable to look after your equine friends.

I know I'm fully capable and reliable and have experience with most breeds and genders. Our own paddocks or stables are cleaned every day and they are tasks I enjoy and I look after my own horses in all weather conditions.

Most importantly of all, in my opinion, is having the experience in identifying colic or other illnesses.

I can ride a quad bike, tow a float, drive a manual and have reliable transport to get me to and from properties.

We can also board one horse here on our own property if you want to get away without the worry of your horse being looked after.

Rates and services will vary depending on the tasks involved and your location. I would also consider house sitting if you need your other pets looked after as well.

A spot= 3 lessons plus a session of theory each day. Absolutely no need to ride- so if you have a green, young, inexperienced, coming back into work, older horse that just needs some help or anything in between- this work will help their overall physical health and wellbeing.

Seasonal deworming (Autumn and Spring) can be a confusing time for horse owners. It can also be hard to change how we think about our worming patterns.

I recently trialled a Faecal Egg Count kit from WormGuide Equine. I'd never used one before and just wormed as I always thought I should. The kit was simple and easy to use and I had a comprehensive report back within a week of posting in the sample, with recommendations for worming moving forward. The test screens down to egg count per 4 grams.

The screening is done using convenient cutting edge and consistently reliable worm egg count analysis. This leaves out the possibility of "human error".

The product helps you -
Meet standard deworming obligations
Use the seasons to your advantage
Establish an annual worm control plan for each individual horse
Lower the worm burden on your paddocks
Slow the development rate of dewormer resistance

Before you worm consider a FEC kit. I'm really pleased I've finally used one, as I don't have to worm now until Spring and I have a scientifically developed plan for my horses. It's a step-up and a huge step forward for me. It's evidence based worm control made easy. So convenient and uncomplicated to use.
