We would like to acknowledge two amazing members of our team. Our head nurse Megan and Veterinarian Dr Shonara. 💐

In a world that often celebrates the loudest voices, Megan is the quiet force behind every wagging tail. At the most recent team leaders meeting, she was awarded the Quiet Achiever’s award for NSW Central. This was no surprise to her team here at Greencross Winmalee. Whilst she doesn’t seek the spotlight, her unwavering care and compassion for her patients is impossible to miss. Megan brings the calm to the chaos proving that quiet strength is often a powerful kind.

Dr Shonara was nominated a finalist for Veterinary associate of the year across all of the Greencross network. This reflects what her team has always known about her, she is an extraordinary Vet. Shonara not only brings medical expertise to the table, but a whole lot of empathy, resilience and compassion for her patients and their families as well. Whether she is consulting, doing surgery or comforting a nervous pet, she does so with grace.

Congratulations to you both, we are so proud of you and lucky to have you as a part of our team ❤️

Meet Toast 💚
Once a stray kitten, Toast was found near a busy road and brought to our North Parramatta clinic. Despite ongoing diarrhoea, she remained a playful and loving cat. While we trialled treatments and different foods, we knew a home would be best for her.
Now adopted by a wonderful couple, Toast is thriving in her forever home! To support her ongoing care, we’ve provided a Healthy Pets Plus membership to help her new owners with her gut health journey and ongoing medical costs.
Welcome home, Toast! 🐾

Dental disease is not just something experienced by senior pets with younger pets showing signs.

If your pet shows signs of bad breath, discoloured teeth or excessive drooling they may be in the early stages of dental disease.

So next time you're booking your dental appointment, remember to also book your furry friend in to get theirs checked as well.

Until 30 September, get $50 off a stage 1 dental scale & polish at your local Greencross Vets clinic. T&Cs apply.

If you live in these affected areas, then please speak to your local vet who will be able to advise you regarding vaccination for your dog. Please keep an eye on your dog and if they show these symptoms, then please call your local vet or nearest pet emergency hospital immediately.

Four dogs have died from canine leptospirosis, with two confirmed in the Southern Highlands and Shoalhaven.

The serious bacterial disease is spread by rats and contaminated water and can cause liver and kidney failure.

Some of the symptoms include vomiting or diarrhea and lethargy.

Dog owners in the Southern Highlands and South coast are being urged to have their pets vaccinated and to avoid letting them drink or swim in stagnant water.

Meet little Leo!

Being such a small boy (less than 3kg!) the vet clinic can be a super scary place! Luckily, Leo has a super dedicated mum who brings him in every fortnight for 'friendly fun time visits' with nurse Tori and the team.

Leo has a special toy he only gets on vet visits and is now at a level of comfortability where he will engage in play throughout the clinic. He still has a long way to go but this little guy is making huge improvements. He might be tiny be he sure is mighty! 🐶🌼
