To all,
Merry Christmas / Seasonal Greetings, I hope everyone is having or is planning to have a great time over the next few days. A break from the 9 to 5, gather with the family and enjoy what this time brings.
To our fur babies of the family, enjoy the treats and the little extras that find their way to you – just be careful not to indulge in those “not so friendly” chews and nibbles or cooked items. The last thing we want is for you to end up sick!
To the mums and dads, keep those 4 legged fur balls happy and engaged, maintain your rules and routines. Training is everyday life experiences with guidance. Reward those good choices with Treats, Pats and Praise – and don’t forget to Play.

A big Thank You to Brenda of Pawsitively Awesome for donating 2 Mixed Treats Pack for our End of Year Obedience Training Fun Night at the German Shepherd Dog League of NSW.
We had 17 participants with their dogs navigating a course of Obedience Positions, Rally Obedience and Agility. The dogs ages ranged from Puppy Class / 2nd Class to 3rd Class, but that didn’t mean there was much points difference amongst them ( some very talented puppies )! Congratulations goes to the following:- 1st place for 3rd Class was Janice and dog Leilani and 1st place for Puppy / 2nd Class was Rhondelle and dog Marty. We also had a secret ballot for the Most Improved over the training year and congratulations goes to:- 3rd Class Thomas and dog Hitch and Puppy / 2nd Class Mark and dog Sherlock, both receiving a small baggy of Dry Beef Tendon pieces from myself, also supplied by Brenda of Pawsitively Awesome.

Welcome to Shepherds Run Free, I'm Wayne and I specialise in working with the German Shepherd Dog.
Its been a long held love to own and engage with this most flexible dog breed. From growing up watching Rin Tin Tin, I tried as a young boy to convince my best friend, a Pembroke Corgi, he could do all those things a Shepherd could do - we came close!
My drive is to help all of those Shepherds that need a helping hand to become all they can, and to become a valuable family member.
Some may have issues that need sorting out, others may need their human family sorted out, either way, to save a Shepherd from the dreaded "Rehoming Prison" is a worthy effort for all.
