Mark Rodney Horsemanship Teaching horsemanship principles to support all areas of equestrian sports

15/01/2017

Opportunity for a working student with Mark Rodney and Debbie Eisenhauer-Rodney. This is a live in position with meals, accommodation, a minimum of 2 lessons per week, daily riding, the opportunity to watch and learn, in exchange for help caring for horses and assistance with maintaining facilities. We require someone that can stay for a minimum of three months, and if based in Oz, can bring their own horse (board for their horse included). This is a great opportunity for someone that wants to immerse themselves in horsemanship and fast track their learning. Suited to someone who wants to lift their all round horsemanship skills, and who has a focus on dressage. Also the opportunity to learn about hoof maintenance, trimming and even shoeing if keen in this area. Please pm Mark or Debbie for more information.

Two Day Horsemanship Clinic - 1st and 2nd October
Getting a better understanding of "yields" from the ground and under saddle, that help form the foundation for a supple horse, and all your lateral work as you progress your training. For more advanced horses and riders, improve what you have in place to help lighten your horses shoulders and increase your ability to influence the hind quarters. For greener horses and riders, get a better understanding from first principles on this topic. Groups will be small and based on level of horse and rider.
$160 per day including overnight accommodation for your horse.
All weather facilities including indoor school plus natural settings.

Two Day Horsemanship clinic - Sunday 12th and Monday 13th June, Wilberforce. Suited to those wanting to improve communication with their horse, their knowledge of horsemanship, or wanting to have some fun. Use of obstacles will help those interested in working equitation, we will have a play with some dressage tests, and explore ground work.
Format as follows - Sunday will start with a ground work demonstration followed by a group session playing with obstacles from the ground. After lunch there will be small group lessons under saddle, followed by riding over obstacles. Monday will start with a dressage test riding demo, highlighting things to consider and focus on as your ride the test, followed by private lessons under saddle. In the afternoon, you will get to ride a dressage test of your choice....twice!! A chance to improve after feedback :)
For those interested, there will also be a prep and protocol day on the previous Friday 10th June, planned for some students that will be competing Saturday at the DNSW Winter Festival. The Friday is open to any one interested in participating, plus welcome to come along and watch on the Saturday.

Cost $300 for Sun/Mon.

Please call Mark on 0407941203, or PM on face book.

Look forward to seeing you there!
