Apologies for my inactivity as of late… Just thought I’d post a few recent pictures of Ekko and Prince with their classic Ragdoll ‘flop’ and their favourite pastime, the paper bag. 🤦‍♀️

Hi all! We attended our first show of 2025 on Sunday, the GCCFSA Fundraising show. We brought 2 cats, Sunyara Heartbreak Prince and our future stud boy Kirei Dystopia (Ekko). Was super pleasing to see how many Ragdolls were there, and how the quality has improved over the past year. 🙂 We didn’t expect much from our cats, with Ekko being so young and Prince only having attended one show, but really proud of how both cats went! We got some lovely comments from the judges and had a great time catching up with everyone.

Thankyou again to the GCCFSA and Leonie for hosting this show, we had such a good time. 🥰

I’ll have another exciting announcement to make later this month, so look out for that post!!

Our next show we’re thinking of attending is on the 21st of September, so if anyone lives in Adelaide and would like to meet us and our cats, that would be a great opportunity!

Hello everyone! Apologies for the inactivity from us, not much has been happening in the cattery recently with no kittens. 🙈

Today I have a pretty exciting announcement to make. I’d like to welcome ‘Kirei Dystopia’, also known as ‘Ekko’ to Sunyara Cattery. 🤍 He will be our future Ragdoll stud. We are so excited to be embarking on this new journey with our Ragdolls, and can’t thank Jess from Kirei Ragdolls enough for breeding this gorgeous boy. Tomorrow can’t come soon enough!! We are so excited to meet him. 💞 He is huge, and I’m looking forward to seeing how he does on the show bench!

Finally, an exciting announcement to make. Our website has been revamped and is ready (or at least I think it is!) to be published. I’ve worked pretty hard on this website, some of you may know our last website was one I threw together one afternoon because people were asking for information and I thought it’d be easier to have a website for the FAQ. 🤣

I did all of this myself using a basic template, so there may be a few bugs with the links and buttons that I may have missed. If you come across anything that doesn’t work, please let me know! It’s been in the works for months now so I’m very excited for you all to see it. 🥰

Always love receiving some happy home updates! ❤️ Here is Stiorra, Phoebe, Prince, Destiny and Sisko caught in the classic Ragdoll pose. 🤣 Couldn’t be more happy with the homes we found for these cats, they are all so so loved. Prince is still with us as a show neuter, he always manages to make me laugh with his man poses.

I’ve decided to try and be a bit more active on our socials, so will post a few updates of our current cats and our plans for the future. Our website is currently being redone as well, in preparation for our new start. ☺️

I keep changing my mind on keeping Destiny… She’s such a special girl and so so loved but she really needs her own person. I will be very picky on her home but if anyone is interested please send me a pm. Welcome to come and meet her, she’s a beautiful girl who deserves the best. 🤍

Hello everyone,

I apologise for my lack of posts- things have been quiet here, and both me and mum have been very busy preparing for our new start.

We still have Destiny here, and we have decided to resume our search for her forever home. Originally we had decided to keep her, but after much thought and consideration I have decided she would be happier with her own family.

Destiny is a 2 and a half year old seal bicolour purebred pedigree Ragdoll female. She is an ex breeding queen, however has always lived inside with us as a pet, so is well socialised. She has only ever had 1 litter. Born 2/10/2022. She has been desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, vet checked, fully DNA tested etc.

Destiny acts very much like a kitten at times. She loves cuddles, and also often plays. She loves all people, and wouldn’t take long to settle in. You’ll often find her carrying around her toys and stashing them in hidden places. Destiny is very special to us, having been our pet for quite some time, however it’s only fair she finds someone who can give her all their attention. She loves her food (maybe a little too much…) and thinks she’s the Queen of the house. Destiny gets along well with other animals. She is particularly fond of sheets of paper, paper bags and chirping at birds through the window. Since retiring, she’s fluffed up a bunch, and will require regular brushing to keep on top of her fur.

Our website has been updated with our available Ragdoll Retirees, Destiny and Stiorra. You will find all relevant info on their separate pages as I've received a lot of enquiries. Mabel has sold to a local family, but Destiny and Tori are still waiting.

Hi everyone, I’m starting to look for some forever homes for our remaining Ragdolls. We have 2 beautiful adults currently. My name is Jorja, and I am one of the breeders behind Sunyara Cattery. I thought I’d do an introduction post with a little bit of information about our cattery.

We breed purebred, pedigree Ragdolls. We chose this breed for their temperaments, making them excellent companion cats. Ragdolls are known for their gentle, ‘floppy’ nature, and have proven to make great therapy cats. Our journey started with my very own therapy cat, River, a desexed Ragdoll. - Please note we will not have any kittens available until late 2025/2026. When we have kittens available I will announce it here.

- We are GCCFSA registered breeders, located in the Eyre Peninsula of South Australia, and our main priority in our breeding program is the health, temperament and type of our kittens.

- We breed all colours and patterns.

- We do all relevant health testing for our breeding cats, which includes DNA testing for all known genetic diseases.

- We don’t have a waitlist, therefore you have more chance of getting a kitten if you introduce yourself with detail in your first message to me.

- Kittens won’t be reserved until at least 8 weeks of age, and only leave their homes after 13 weeks of age.

- All of our pet and show kittens are sold desexed. No exceptions. I will only sell entires to other registered, ethical breeders with similar goals, and very rarely.
