Despite not looking so pleased, we are pleased to announce that Skye has officially graduated from her rehabilitation program! 🎓 Back in April, Skye underwent an en bloc trochleoplasty, tibial crest transposition, joint imbrication, and lateral release surgery with our talented Dr. Rebecca Ainsworth.

Today, after lots of hard work (and patience) and a culmination of laser therapy, strengthening exercises and hydrotherapy, she has completed her rehab journey! 💪

🐾 So, which harness is best?

A poorly fitted harness can affect shoulder movement and recent studies show both restrictive and non-restrictive harnesses can limit shoulder mobility.

👉 For dogs that don’t pull, sometimes a collar and lead may be the better option.

💡 But harnesses are always recommended for dogs with:
- Tracheal collapse
- Laryngeal paralysis
- Neurological/neck issues

✅ Harness fitting tips:

Non-restrictive: Fit snugly around the neck so it doesn’t slip onto the shoulders.

Restrictive: Fit loosely so it can move away from the shoulders.
