ABOUT THE DOG PARK

Located in the Mussel Pool East precinct of Whiteman Park, at car park 23, the Dog Park is completely fenced off and also contains a number of dog-friendly features, including double gated entry/exit points, multiple water points and an obstacle course. Small dogs under ~10kg are also catered for, with a smaller, separate enclosure just for them. The facility is free to use, however donations to help support its ongoing maintenance are appreciated, with 50% of donations collected also going direct to RSPCA WA.

Please note, there will be internal
road closures on Thursday 18 September due to the Targa West Rally.

Best access for the Dog Park is through our southern Dulwich Street entrance, off Marshall Road.

Alternatively, enter the Park via the Easter zen trance off Drumpellier Drive, park in the Village and walk to the Dog Park (using the path alongside the Tractor Museum).

On Sunday 15 September, our droolworthy celebration for our four-legged family members will be back!

We've got over 20 doggie-related exhibitors wagging their (metaphorical) tails in excitement. Join us between 10am - 3pm in Mussel Pool West for a fun-filled family event. 🐶

Don't miss the Doggie Competitions, free ball pit and paw print art for your pet pooch, face painting and bouncy castle for the kids, plus lots more.

⛔️ MAINTENANCE WORKS NOTICE ⛔️

The Dog Park will be closed on Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 August while we undertake reticulation upgrade works.

A gentle reminder that while the Dog Park is closed, there will be no off-leash exercise facilities. Your dog/s must remain on the leash and under your control at all times while visiting Whiteman Park.

NOTICE 📣

The Dog Park will be closed for 2-3 days for path realignment works during the week of Tuesday 4 - Friday 7 June.

The Small Dog area will remain open for dogs under 10kg. 🐾

As always, you can call the team between 8.30am - 5.00pm weekdays to check if the facility is open when you hope to visit.

Just a polite reminder though, that dogs are not permitted to be off-leash anywhere else in Whiteman Park, even when the Dog Park is closed.

Please also note that Park Management are undertaking fence realignment works at the eastern end of the Dog Park from May 20 – 31. The Dog Park will remain open during this time, but a section of the footpath will be closed to facilitate these works.

As we pause today to remember those who served, and still serve today, take a moment to also acknowledge the service animals who served alongside them. From dogs to horses, donkeys and more, service animals served crucial roles during war.

And much like some of these animals do in the comfort in our homes now, they also offered comfort and emotional support to many soldiers.

We will remember them all.

Want to know when the Dog Park is closed for maintenance?

The Whiteman Park Dog Park is closed every fortnight on the odd weeks of the year. We use this time to do lawnmowing, tree maintenance works and anything else we need clear access for.

🗓️ This year, our first scheduled closure is today, Thursday 4 January between 10.00am - 1.00pm.
