Whitby District Lion’s Club is proud to announce that ‘Whitby Rainbow Colour Run’ is back for 2024! We are also super excited to announce that this year’s event will be supported by Whitby Seafoods, who will make the event even better by bringing their Scampi Van, giving free samples of their delicious locally made scampi! This year’s run, which is the event’s fifth edition is being held on Sunday
22nd September 2024 at 12:00 Noon. Join us for a family fun-filled day at Whitby Beach where you’ll run, walk, or skip your way through a vibrant explosion of colours! Get ready to be doused head-to-toe in different hues as you make your way along the scenic route. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking for a good time, this event is perfect for everyone. Don’t worry about your pace – it’s all about having a blast and creating unforgettable memories with friends and family. So grab your running shoes, put on your brightest outfit, and get ready to experience the most colourful event in Whitby! Ticket prices include a white T-Shirt to keep as a colourful souvenir, a pair of colourful Whitby Seafood branded sunglasses to look cool while getting doused in colour and a packet of coloured powder paint for the warm up. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult in order to participate in the event and they must supervised by said adult at all times. Any schools or youth groups who take part must have adequate supervision. Alternatively, tickets are also available from the Whitby Pet Shop, 15 Station Square, Whitby, YO21 1DU. Each ticket includes:
A white T-Shirt – So you can get splattered in as much colour as you like! A colourful pair of Whitby Seafoods branded sunglasses – So you look cool! One packet of powdered colour paint – For the warm up! The Event Route
The colour run event route is roughly 1 KM in length one way and starts from the West Pier along the West Cliff beach to roughly where beach huts finish on the sea wall and back again, giving a total distance of roughly 2 KM. Please remember it is a none-competitive run with the distance being suitable for children of all ages.
