⚠️ Parvovirus Alert – Please Read ⚠️

We’d like to make our clients aware of a recent increase in parvovirus cases in our area. While there’s no need to panic, it’s important to stay informed and take a few simple precautions to help keep your pets safe.

Canine parvovirus is a highly contagious virus that can be especially serious in puppies and older dogs. It spreads easily through contaminated environments, including parks, footpaths, and even on shoes or clothing.

Signs to watch for include:
• Lethargy or weakness
• Loss of appetite
• Vomiting
• Severe diarrhoea (often bloody)
• Fever

If your dog shows any of these signs, please contact us promptly and follow staff direction accordingly.

How you can help protect your pet:
✔️ Ensure your dog’s vaccinations are up to date
✔️ Keep unvaccinated or partially vaccinated dogs at home
✔️ Avoid high-traffic dog areas if your pet isn’t fully protected
✔️ Practice good hygiene (washing hands, cleaning shoes, etc.)

Vaccination is the best defence against parvovirus, and staying cautious now can help prevent further spread within our community.
