🐾 Planned Litter Announcement – Alclare Kennels 🐾

At Alclare Kennels, we had originally planned a litter earlier this year, however as responsible and ethical breeders, we made the decision to delay.

With a number of breeders currently producing multiple litters, we believe it’s important to be conservative, considered, and always put the breed first — not just demand.

We are now planning a carefully selected litter for July and will be opening a waiting list.

✔️ Health tested parents
✔️ Temperament assessed and proven
✔️ Bred with purpose, not convenience

While puppies are undeniably cute, it’s so important for prospective owners to look beyond the fluff.
Please — always ask breeders for health testing results and information on the parents.

Because the reality is… poor breeding practices can lead to a lifetime of heartbreak — something many don’t talk about, or worse, won’t acknowledge.

At Alclare, we are committed to producing dogs that are not only beautiful, but sound in mind and body, setting them up — and their families — for the very best future.

✨ Big news from Alclare ✨
Nia is now known as Aust CH Alclare Seemed LikeA Goodidea (pending Dogs Vic approval) 💫
A huge thank you to Natalie for her patience, skill and sense of humour in helping wrangle this willful girl in the ring — it’s been quite the journey!
While she may be absolutely beautiful, Nia has made it very clear that her true passion lies in being a professional couch ornament, preferably with Mum and Dad close by 💕
For those following our lines, Nia is the sister to
Ch Alclare Playing To Win “Ripp”,
and from:
Dam: Ch Alclare All I Know So Far
Sire: Aust Ch Renascent As You Do At Goldmaid (IMP USA)
Proud of this girl and everything she is — both in and out of the ring 💖

At Alclare Kennels, the health, sound temperament, and long-term welfare of our Welsh Springer Spaniels has always been — and will remain — the hallmark of our breeding program.

In light of recent information coming to light about serious hereditary health issues within some kennels across Australia, we have made the considered decision that our dogs will not be made available at open stud to a number of kennels moving forward.

This decision is not made lightly.

Unfortunately, a lack of honesty, transparency, and accountability has become an increasing problem within the breed. Health results being minimised, information being withheld, or issues quietly ignored is not something we will ever accept or be involved in.

We believe:
• Health testing must be genuine, current, and openly shared
• Temperament is just as important as type
• “Affected to affected” or “hope for the best” is never a breeding strategy
• Protecting the breed is more important than protecting egos or convenience

We will continue to breed carefully, conservatively, and transparently, working only with like-minded breeders who share these values and who put the breed’s future ahead of short-term gain.

Honesty matters.
Welfare matters.
And we will not compromise either.

Today was a bitter sweet day .. I said good bye to my beautiful Gracie “Ch Alclare All I Know So Far” as she joined her new family and Ripp “Ch Alclare Playing To Win” Took out Junior in Group to make his mum proud ❤️ Gracie was my one and only Merlot baby up untill this point so those that understand my connection with both of these dogs will understand but as a breeder I had to do what was best for her as much as it breaks my heart 💔
