Equestrian Victoria Coaching The National Coaching Accreditation Scheme (NCAS) is Equestrian Australia's formal training program

Since 1983 the EFA (now EA) NCAS coaching education scheme has produced approximately 2000 coaches who generally work on a freelance basis and charge for services. The lower-level courses (Introductory) are for beginner coaches to coach basic riders at the learner levels of the sport, whilst the higher-level courses (Level 3) relate to high performance coaching of elite athletes. The Theory compon

ents of EA coach training are delivered in a flexible home-study manner using comprehensive workbooks and recommended reading. Practical study may be with done with coaches, Coach Educators or other industry experts. Assessments for Theory and Practical are performed by EA Coach Educators either in a formal workshop setting or in a one-on-one setting using the prescribed activity slips in each EA workbook. Final Assessment (ie: Exam Day) is the final step for all courses except at Introductory level

Due to Equestrian Victoria’s recent Statement in relation to Covid 19 Pandemic below, the Coaching Committee have decided that
“ Effects of the Rider” Seminar be postponed .
Refunds have been issued via Trybooking today, so please allow 5-10 working days for you to see the money back into your card.
I will advertise a new date and time, when I can, so please look on the EV Website for any news.

Dr Helen Davies (BAgSci (Hons). MAgrSc. BVSc. PhD) is a veterinarian, teacher, and research scientist with a life-long interest in communication, posture, and movement, especially in horses and their riders. Attendance can be used for Coaching points.

Just a reminder about our TD and CD seminar being held in conjunction with Avenel Horse Trials on the 2nd and 3rd November.

If you can't make it both days, we are happy for you to attend one day only, with the best option being Saturday
We still have places left and the more people attend, the more will be gained from shared experiences and better discussion
