Dougal and I had a great Sunday morning training session with Mocha, and her Mum Bella. Mocha has been a great role model for young Dougal, as well as a number of other young AD prospects. Along with being a fantastic mentor, over the last 12 months, Mocha with the support of her dedicated family, has gone through an amazing transformation, losing 12.1kg's, so shes looking fit and fantastic for her up and coming PAT.
Couldn't be prouder of this Team.

It's important to remember, Assistance Dogs, come in all shapes and sizes.

Great Southern Groodle Puppy Alert!

Mr Yellow is 10 weeks old. He had been held for his new owner to pick up during school holidays but those plans fell through.

Here is what Dr Alice wrote about him-

Mr Yellow is a beautiful confident and balanced all-rounder puppy.
Quick to warm up to the new environment and people, Mr Yellow responded well to unusual
body language from the assessor as well as showed a nice ability to follow non verbal cues in the scent detection test and independent and enthusiastic problem solving. Great biddability and persistence in following a lure, good trainability traits. Lovely independent exploratory behaviour and good acceptance of handling.

On a personal level, this puppy is resilient, friendly and sociable. I am proud of him and know he will make a fantastic best friend. My children love him as do my other dogs.

His temparement tests results indicate he may be a good therapy prospect. He comes from Health tested parents and raised with Puppy Culture approach.

Therapy Dog Training Course.

We are 4 days away from our Therapy Dog Training Course. Unfortunately in the last 2 days we have had 4 people pull out from the course. While we understand that things happen, as we only offer limited places in our courses with such a significant number no longer attending we run the risk of not being able to continue to run such courses.

We are a not-for-profit charity, and the funds raised from these courses help us to continue to provide services such as caring for our own therapy dogs, as well as supporting the welfare of all the dogs in training in our care.

Therefore, we are offering 4x 'at-cost' tickets to this weeks course. If you are interested please fill in the registration form: https://forms.office.com/r/2fbbG9XaYp and email us to let us know you are interested in coming.

All details of the course including dates/times and location can be found on the registration form. Key details below:
- Handlers must be in a professional role where they intend to use their dog in their work such as: Allied Health, GP, Dentist, Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Teaching, Counselling etc...
- Dogs must be 12months old (sorry no exceptions for these last 4 tickets)
- In-person and dog attendance required on Friday 05/04 and Saturday 06/04 in West Perth. Online attendance required for Sunday 07/04
