Brian is our stable veteran who means a lot to all of our staff . He had his last start on New Years Day and has been spelling since. Brian has a great nature and is true gentlemen to handle on the ground. To ride he does like to get on with the job, but has no dirt in him (eg. doesn't rear/buck etc). Brian had retired sound however does have a club foot which would require management.
This horse deserves only the best of homes and would be best suited as a light riding mount, equine therapy horse, nanny/companion.
Please no time wasters, as he will only be going to a loving, experienced home.

Even though he is quite, he would be best suited to a knowledgeable home as he is a big young and inexperienced horse.

Nice type of horse with flowing paces and natural self carriage.
He is pretty straight forward under saddle and to deal with on the ground. Will make someone a lovely all rounder once his tendon is healed. Will only be sold to the best of homes. Please no time wasters or beginners.

This lovely horse is looking for a new 5 star home! He unfortunately suffered a tendon injury a few days ago and his owners wish to retire him from racing.
Montoya is one seriously cool thoroughbred, who was very popular with both stable hands and track riders, due to his relaxed nature. He is easy to handle in every way and has no vices. He will make a cracking all rounder for someone who is willing to wait and spell/rehab him. It won't take much work to transition this horse into his new career. He has nice paces and had no soundness issues prior to his injury.We would love to see him go to an experienced caring horsey home, which is what this special horse deserves!

Adam is a sweet unraced thoroughbred looking for a new home where he can start the next chapter of his life. He has a great nature and will thrive as a pleasure/trail riding hack. He is a pleasure to handle and easy to catch, shoe, float etc. Adam will need a good spell in the paddock to let down from being a race horse and recover from his sesamoiditis. Please do not be turned off by this condition, he will be fine doing light/slower work, as it only flares up with hard galloping. I also have a vet report from the Ballarat Vet Clinic that I can send to serious inquirers only. Although he is quiet, being a young, inexperienced thoroughbred, he will need a confident intermediate rider or above to help him transition into his new discipline. SOLD TO A GREAT HOME
Name: Tucker (Race name Sebenza)

Tucker is one super cool thoroughbred! He is definitely one of the quietest horses we have in the stable and is easy to handle and ride in all aspects. He’s not your typical tb with his super relaxed nature and chunky build. I have absolutely no doubt that Tucker will thrive in his next phase of life, he will be the ultimate allrounder for somebody who wants to do a little bit of everything. He’s always has been easy to bring back into work after spells and loves his food!!
Tucker has retired from racing after only one start, as he has sustained a suspensory injury after a gallop, with vets and owners advice to retire him. I have vet reports from Ballarat Vet Clinic stating that after a spell he should be fine to begin his new career as a low level dressage, show jumping or eventing horse etc. He will require at least a four month spell to allow his suspensory to heal before beginning work, his last start was only 2 weeks ago so he requires a let down from racing any way.
Even though he is extremely quiet he is probably best suited to an intermediate rider since he is straight off the track or to a knowledgeable horsey family.
He will only be sold to a great home which is what he deserves, so if you’re not genuine please do not enquire.

STUNNING MARE who has done it all before:

Helping an owner find a home for her gorgeous mare Millie before she heads overseas. 12yo, 15.2hh approx, thoroughbred. She has competed up to grade 2 PC level, attended shows and been on beach and town rides. She absolutely loves to jump and shows a real talent for it. Deck was retired sound from racing in December 2016. Deck was trained by Mitch Freedman and a plus side to working in a racing stable is the opportunity to hand pick the horses you love and deck was a clear standout for us! He is a very athletic type who boasts very eye catching movement. He gives the rider a great feel under saddle accompanied with a lovely soft snaffle mouth. Deck has a great nature! Although he can be a little pushy on the ground at times but we have worked on that and he is getting a lot better. In saying that he is a complete gentleman under saddle he has not put one foot out of place, his first time at the local indoor he went around like he had done it 100 times before. Deck is being advertised slightly earlier then we would have liked but since one of the riders is now moving towns we have to find him a home a little prematurely hence the reflection on his price. Video footage will be coming soon and he will be popped over a few fences very shortly. He genuinely is a very sweet horse who will excel in many different disciplines from dressage to eventing and even polo as he is a very sure footed horse. Deck is currently barefoot and is up to date with worming and recently had his teeth done.

Ben and Deck had their very first outing today at the indoor arena. Both were absolutely super, we couldn't fault them if we tried. the versatility of the thoroughbred still amazes us 🙌🏽

A bit of playfulness in the mud today 🐎 the poor chickens nearly got taken out 😳 Macman Lodge has been a bit quiet due to the unfortunate weather. Hopefully it'll pick up soon so we can prepare for competition season 🤞🏽
