Today is Endangered Species Day, it aims to shine a spotlight on threatened flora and fauna and raise awareness while encouraging conservation efforts.
Pictured above is a numbat, also known as the banded anteater. They’re a native Australian Marsupial and currently have an estimated population of 2000 in the wild.
