Knox Vet Clinic

Knox Vet Clinic KNOX VETERINARY CLINIC commenced operations in 1982. At this time it was a one-vet operation and Knox City was nothing like it is now.

Over the years the clinic has grown considerably and now we have 4 vets and 7 nurses on staff. The Clinic sees all manner of pets mainly dogs and cats but have been known to see rabbits, guinea pigs, even some birds and rodents. All the staff at Knox Vet Clinic are dedicated animal lovers and carers. We are all pet owners ourselves and this shows through in the way we look after all our patients.

It is why our clients keep coming back to us and why we welcome new clients every week. We will always try to offer our caring pet owners a number of options when treatment is required. We are able to provide a complete service in most situations meaning diagnostics and treatment can be attained without having to go to different facilities. We have radiology, ultrasound, endoscopy, dental with dental xray and surgery suites to cover most problems. The Clinic is open 6 days a week from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 1pm on Saturday. We are closed on Sunday and Public holidays. For after hours details or any further information please contact us on 9801 2055.

Introducing Staff Pet Sundays!

Like our lovely clients, we too have furbabies that we love and cherish beyond measure and we wanted to share them with you all! 😍🐶

Starting us off is the mysterious but curious, Lavender! Named after Nurse Bella’s favourite flower, this little gal is the apple of her mum’s eye! 💜

You will often find Lavender in the kitchen with her parents, watching them cook (even sometimes getting a front row seat 😉). Sometimes you might not find her at all, as she loves to slink out on her own and hide until she shows up again for snacks and kisses/snuggles! 💕

Joined at the hip…
Finn and Sophie have sent a furever home update saying they love each other
to bits…
From other people’s literal trash these two rescue pugs are both now another family’s absolute treasures…
Adopted separately earlier this year but it’s like they were always meant to be together…

Finn and Sophie enjoy playing…
And in bed they like to sit together, cuddle and enjoy laying…
Cuddles on the couch with humans and there is always something to supervise and help with…
They both know the rest of their days are filled with love and joy which they are content with…

Finn & Sophie ###
Adopted & Loved!

🐾At 9 years old Finn ended up at major pound as a stray
His past neglectful people knew he was there but decided he should stay.
He was literally a walking matted shedding hairy obese potato weighing nearly 11kg..
He lost nearly 4kg+ and now is 7kg
He used to scream & tantrum constantly
But with training he now knows that’s just silly
He had horrible rotten smelly teeth that he underwent a dental for at Knox Vet Clinic , a growth taken off his toes too
Eye specialist Melbourne EyeVet care for his pigment with daily eyedrops to restore his vision
Horrendous breathing and sounded like a steam train due to BOAS saw him undergo specialist airway surgery by Dr Ricky Melbourne Animal Referral Services
He no longer gasp constantly for air or makes horrible sounds

🐾Sophie arrived into care with horrendous BOAS “Brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome” which has her gasping constantly…
This poor girl has callouses on her hind legs, wasn’t desexed, most likely bred with, had rotting disgusting teeth & hip issues making her sway..
Her previous owners, who didn’t want her, said she had absolutely nothing wrong with her when really they knew they had neglected her and threw her away…
The noises Sophie made was her airway was being blocked off and for 7+ years she was suffocating…
She underwent emergency BOAS surgery with Dr Ricky & the MARS team
Whilst you can’t completely fix what is broken she’s now breathing more freely air…

Sophie underwent her major dental with 18+
rotted teeth removed, lump removals and desexing and vaccination with Dr Sharon and the Knox Vet Team..

Guess what everyone!
At 12 years young…
I’ve scored myself a furever family including puggy boyfriend Fieldy and my very own furever dad and mum…

I’ve already got my furever family wrapped around my paw as I’m a princess they say…
I have lots of beds a doggy couch ramp and my woo wooing when I want something works yay..
I’ve been to work with mum..
Dad likes to give me hugs and Fieldy likes me being his cuddle chum…

Congratulations Maddie on your Adoption Day!
To Maddie’s furever family thank you for choosing to adopt we say!

Maddie ###

At nearly 12, Maddie was left by extremely selfish cruel people to fall into a horrific state with absolutely stinking horrendous severe dental disease, chronic ear infections which were oozing blood and pus, obese, wonky legs, growth on bum & then abandoned in a house all alone…
From years of experience dealing with absolutely selfish people like Maddie’s old humans we knew how bad she would be we still took the time and effort to collect her from that home…
Her old owners fakely professed their love for her donated $0 and wiped their hands taking no responsibility of the absolute horrendous mess they obviously believe a rescue group and our supporters should raise $5,000+ for vet care and deal with…
They have never even said thank you for helping Maddie they are such completely self entitled dimwits..

After weeks of ear medication Maddie had her massive surgery day at Knox Vet Clinic where they made her sleepy…
From seeing and smelling Maddie’s altered hind leg gait, chronic ear infection & horrendous breath we knew she had been extremely and unnecessarily neglected and her chronic issues were bad…
But what was found should make everyone extremely mad & sad…
Teeth so rotted and decayed that they have started reabsorbing into Maddie’s rotted gums, 16 putrid rotted teeth removed, years of gunk flushed from her ears & severe hip dysplasia and horrendous osteoarthritis in both her hips and both knees..
Maddie’s X-rays are basically the worst case that the vets have seen…
Yes the weight Maddie has lost has helped her walking but it’s seriously amazing that she now gets around ok…
Her lump biopsy results came back as fine yay..

Some of you might recognise Bridgette, as she is a regular visitor here at Knox Vet Clinic! Owned by our lovely Dr. Sharon, Bridgette can be seen snoozing the day away down the back in the offices or sometimes upfront with the girls at reception! We love your visits Bridge 💕💕💕

It’s a very simple conversation to have but always seems to be the hardest one to start, however checking in with those you’re close to, work with or interact with can make all the difference.

Let’s continue to support and be kind to one another!
