Hi everyone
I have been absolutely flat out, apologies for not putting up a May calender!

I have limited spots left in May, but still have a few on Thursdays and Fridays.

I will be doing a talk and fittings at City of Ipswich Pony Club at the end of the month. If you would like a fitting please get in touch, they will be discounted on the day.

And next month I will be doing a talk and fittings at Zone 3 PC Camp.

Dear clients,
Unfortunately due to a few too many last minute cancellations, I will now be asking for a deposit to be paid upon booking.

This $50 deposit will be refundable upon a vet or doctors note.

While I understand things happen that we can’t control, I also have bills to pay.

Did you get it right?

The answers from the last post -

✅ Was a young horse (we can tell this by incisors, and back molars still haven’t erupted)

✅ Did need some dental work, including a float and wolf tooth removed

✅ Had abnormal bone growth on both sides near premolars

✅ Had thin, narrow bars and would have likely been bar sensitive.

This horse unfortunately had to be put down due to osteomyelitis of the mandible. This is a bacterial infection that destroys the bone.

🏇 Do you have an OTTB/OTSB? Discounted fittings in April! 🏇

Does it chomp, chew, throw its head around? Or suck under the bit, avoid the contact or stick its tongue out?

Thoroughbred's and Standardbreds can have 'bit anxiety' from their racing days, and if they aren't completely comfortable with the bit they're ridden in, it can come out as the above behaviours!

A bit is never an immediate fix for learnt behaviours, but it is a major piece of the puzzle! And with a correct fit for your horse, these problems can be fixed.

So in the month of April I will be doing discounted fittings for OTTBs and OTSBs.

$100 for a standard fitting
