We are a certified fear free home salon in COLDSTREAM-
If your dog is telling us they are not coping we will try several different things or completely stop the service. We operate as a one dog at a time salon (more if in the same family) as it is a calmer and safer environment for each dog. This does mean we require prompt pick up and drop offs to avoid overlapping of clients. TERMS & CONDITIONS

We send a 48 hour reminder message prior to your appointment that requires a confirmation from you. If you cancel/reschedule less then 24 hours before your scheduled appointment a full fee will be required and to be paid immediately. We are a small family run business and can’t afford the income loss. If you simply do not reply or “no show” your appointment this will also incur a full fee and if we choose to reschedule you we will require a deposit a week before your next scheduled appointment. If fleas are found on your dog at the start of their appointment you will be notified of them requiring a flea bath and an extra $10 will be charged for extra product and time. Matting fees will also apply if matting over body is extensive.

💰Let’s talk cost of living and operating a small business!💰

⭐️What happens when we get a late minute cancellation or no show?
That’s income we do not get unless we charge a cancellation fee. We hate doing it but we also have bills to pay and mouths to feed.

⭐️Why are prices so “high”?
For some insight into what is costs to run a dog grooming business here is a small break down:
1 blade sharpening : $12
1 scissor sharpening : $15
*we use MULTIPLE blades on each dog for each appointment and use at least 2 pairs of scissors a day. Regular cleaning and sharpening is a MUST for our equipment to stay working and safe!
Quality shampoo : $80+ per 5l
Quality deshed : $90+ per 5l
On top of things like this there’s power, water, cost of clippers (also require service), dryer (also require service), table, bath, combs, brushes etc.

⭐️Why does it take so long ?
We are working with LIVE animals that don’t understand when we say stay still or this is sharp. We have to be very careful AND caring for the comfort and safety of every dog. We also bath your entire dog thoroughly, trim their private parts AND clip their nails, all on top of their haircut. * and yes sometimes we get pooped on!

When you factor in all of these things and then question an on average every 8 week haircut at $100-$150 it really isn’t that much.

Disclaimer : we understand emergencies happen and we try to be understanding in these circumstances.
