The best laid plans always go a bit astray...and yard allocations are up there with the most difficult of puzzles.

Today we have had a bit of a juggle to suit vehicle sizes, horses that don't like each other, requests to avoid being yarded where the wind blows too hard from the north! 🤣🤣The last request didn't really happen, the weather this weekend is going to be EXCEPTIONAL and the wind isn't going to blow at all.

Anyway, getting back to the point. There have been some changes to yard allocations, please have a look and if you are arriving in the dark be sure you have an idea of where you are heading.

Other things to remember:
✅ Print your own numbers and bring them.
✅If you are bringing your own yards please enter via the main airport gates. They do close at around 10.00pm so if you are going to arrive after that you will need to drive in through the front pony club gate and out the back gate to get to your area.
✅There are toilets near the BYO parking area, they are permanent toilets in a white building just on the other side of the roadway if you are looking south from your camp site.
❌ The cross country course is closed until Saturday, we are still working, there are mowers and machinery so please avoid that area until we announce the course OPEN.
❌ Working your horses around the dressage arena area on FRIDAY is not allowed.
❌ Please avoid lunging your horse in the car park area.

Travel safe and we look forward to seeing you this weekend.

Still on the lookout for Cross Country jump judges if you are available to help on Sunday! 🐴

AUTUMN RALLY RECAP

1. Starting in March, members started their preparations for Zone Championships with dressage instruction from Emma Swaffer & Lisa Fritsch, Mounted games with Sophie Wales & Shae Landon and Showjumping instruction from Alumni Kate Crauford. Thank to all of our members for such fantastic support of this rally, so great so see so many new faces!

2. As Easter closed in on us, our April rally saw riders enjoy a good old fashioned Easter egg hunt around the grounds on horseback, rhythmic and coded clues organised by Sophie Wales. As Zone Championships preparations continued, attendees also practised their ease of handling course.

3. 2025 South East Zone Championships. Congratulations to our members who entered this event. MGDPC had the strongest entries of this event with 10 riders entered (some with multiple horses!) and the results are fantastic. Well done riders, all of your hard work and preparations have paid off.
