Good Morning All!
Looking forward to another refreshing week in the Upper Murray.
Just a little heads up we are heading towards a long weekend this weekend so both of our clinics will be closed on Monday 8th June for the Kings Birthday weekend. (Finally we get a holiday that covers both sides of the border) but as always we still will have a vet on call for emergencies only, and remember only call the clinic please do not call our vets directly on their mobiles or little Miss Penelope Pickle (seen below ) will be coming after you.
And for the Tumbarumba clinic we will be closing early on Friday 5th, so if you need medications or anything before the weekend give us a call sooner rather than later.
Thank you ☺️

We’re so excited for the opportunity to partner with this wonderful group!

Some businesses don’t just operate in a community. They become part of the fabric of it.

That’s exactly what Sarah at Walwa and Tumbarumba Veterinary Practices represent across the Upper Murray.

We’re incredibly grateful to share that Walwa Vets were the very first business to jump on board and support the Jingellic Hub sponsorship program. That early support meant a lot, not just financially, but as a strong show of belief in what the Hub represents for the community.

For years, Walwa Vets have supported local families, farmers, working dogs, livestock and companion animals across the region with compassionate and practical veterinary care for animals both large and small.

Like the Hub, they understand what regional communities are built on:
✔ Showing up
✔ Supporting locals
✔ Being there when needed most

As a community-owned facility and Emergency Welfare Centre, partnerships like this help ensure the Hub can continue supporting connection, wellbeing and the wider community into the future.

Thank you again to Sarah for backing the Hub. We’re proud to have you involved. 💛

Today we celebrate World Veterinary Day 🐾

I just want to take a moment to recognise and thank our incredible team. Every single day you show up with compassion, resilience, and dedication—not just to the animals in our care, but to their people as well.

This job isn’t always easy. It’s long hours, tough calls, emotional highs and lows—but through it all, you continue to give your best. The care you provide, the teamwork you show, and the support you give each other does not go unnoticed.

I’m genuinely proud to work alongside such a hardworking and passionate group of people. Our patients are lucky to have you, and so am I.

Thank you for everything you do—today and every day. 💙

Important reminder for our clients

Please do not contact our vets on their personal mobile phones. All enquiries, appointments, updates and questions must be directed through the clinic phones so our friendly team can assist you properly.

Our vets work very long hours caring for your animals, and their personal time with family outside of work is important and needs to be respected.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us support the wellbeing of these 2 legends.
