Forgetful Lillee’s Story! ❤️

When Lillee’s owner first contacted me, neither of us wanted to get our hopes up too much. But we decided it was worth giving it a go!

Here’s Lillee’s story, in her owner’s own words. ❤️

“Now 17 years old, Lillee was trialled once as a 3-year-old and turned out the very next day.

She spent 10 years out in the paddock before her owner’s daughter reached out to me and explained that her dad’s (deceased) horse was part of a deceased estate. She asked if I knew anyone who would take her on.

Me being the absolute sucker I am, who:
a) didn’t want two horses, and
b) didn’t do mares…

I absolutely drove to Wangaratta to pick her up in December 2023! 😂

She’s been a labour of love while I’ve got her feet, teeth and body right after so much time off.

She’s been the biggest pleasure to own, despite being unhandled for so long. And even though her name is Forgetful Lillee, she hasn’t actually forgotten much!”

❤️ Sometimes, the horses we never planned on are the ones who find their way into our hearts.

Lillee’s story is a beautiful reminder that it’s never too late to give a horse another chance. With time, patience and the right care, there’s still so much to discover.

While still early days we are hopeful she will enjoy this extra attention!

Wally!
His full add will be available next week. (Unless sold prior, yes I’ve had heaps of enquires!)
Having had 6 weeks re training here and has had a few outings including a riding club rally. He has just started his jumping which he seems to really enjoy! Wally is improving all the time, not a day goes by where he doesn’t make me laugh! Absolute character to have around!

A new tiny addition! ❤️ (Lucky to be 14.3hh!)

Everyone, meet Red Rain!

I’m so excited to see what this pint-sized TB would like to do in her new career! The possibilities are endless, and I can’t wait to see where her journey takes her. 🥰

A huge shout-out to Mick Sell Racing and all of Red Rain’s owners for taking such wonderful care of her after racing. Thank you for giving Penny Lane Park the opportunity to start this next chapter her !❤️

Today I took a few horses to riding club for an outing, and what a lovely surprise I had! ❤️

As I was driving into the club, I spotted a young lady riding a horse in. I doubled back because I thought, I definitely know that horse! 😂

Sure enough, it was Brian (now Bailey), who I sold a little while ago!

It was absolutely fantastic to see him again and watch him working so well. 🥰❤️

There’s nothing better than seeing a horse you’ve sold out enjoying life with their new person and doing so well. Moments like these make it all worthwhile! ❤️🐴
