🦴 Osteoarthritis is a chronic and degenerative joint disease which causes mobility issues and pain in our senior pets.
Dogs and cats are considered seniors from the age of 7, depending on their breed size and genetics.
Common signs of osteoarthritis are:
⚠️ Decreased mobility and limping
⚠️ Sleeping more often
⚠️ Weight loss or gain
⚠️ Muscle weakness
⚠️ Weakened bladder control
⚠️ Reduced vision or hearing
⚠️ Changes in cognitive function (confusion)
⚠️ Increase in anxiety
⚠️ Changes in behaviour (aggression)
⚠️ Reduced appetite
Veterinary checks are crucial for our older pets, as our team can organise a treatment plan to help your pet become more comfortable as they age.
