To my beloved Mobile Pet Parlour clients:
Sit down....
The time has come...I am very much tiring of towing the trailer now, and after 12 years, its time for a big change
This is a decision I have been torturing myself with for a while now, however to sustain the longevity of my grooming career, and more to the point, body, I am transgressing to a salon in Wodonga. I am still passionate about grooming, but the trailer is starting to wear me down, especially after the last hot summer we endured.
I have done some temporary contract work for a salon this year, and it has refreshed and reinvigorated me, however it has also made me realize, that my job could be done easier, with all the relevant facilities and utilities in the luxury of working in a solid stable place.
Therefore, I will be selling the trailer and taking on a relevant shop space in Wodonga
Why Wodonga.... Its a huge demographic, and I know in selling the trailer and losing the 'mobile' aspect of my business, I know, and am fully aware, that I will lose a few of my beautiful clients in the process
So I need a bigger audience to hopefully rebuild from such a major decision....I'm simply being realistic... and I can honestly say, that losing a loyal client, I've had for years, has been BY FAR, the hardest part of my decision making
I am certainly NOT expecting people to follow me, however if you would like to, then of course I would be ecstatic... the travel part would obviously be on you
For those that do follow me, there is nothing that needs to change in relation to agitated dogs and coming in to placate them during the groom, as a lot of you have done before... I am still an open book, and my new space will be accommodating to all scenarios, if not improved, with a chair and cuppa for you!
I will be doing some Saturday's, for those that can't get there during the week, but this will simply go on demand as needed
For multiple pets, I will have the appropriate security and a comfortable space for them to wait, whilst their respective siblings are pampered
However, in reality, please DO NOT feel obliged to follow me, I totally understand if you have to seek other alternatives, as this move for me, may not suit you logistically
My new space is less than 1klm from both Wodonga Plazas, however I have nothing to show you just yet, until I set the place up, but it has two split systems, which will indeed be a luxury for me in ALL seasons
I will be changing the business name to KC'S POOCH PARLOUR, same logo, just taking the wheels off the bath, quite literally!
There will be a transition period of course, but I'm hoping to start on 27th July this year, however it will be a case by case scenario if you have a booking after that date, and as to whether I still have the trailer
I will be creating a new page under KC'S POOCH PARLOUR, and from there it will have all the relevant details, my phone number will remain the same at this stage, depending on trailer sale and potential purchaser
I am putting this on FB, and for those that I think are not on FB, especially my elderly folks, I will be putting in the mail to them
I am trying to keep this announcement in a professional matter, but for most of you that know me, I say it as it is, in the most appropriate way, but this one is a big one and its creating a huge emotional roller coaster for me, as the sacrifice I have to make is to lose some of you beautiful loyal clients
I am both terrified and excited for this venture, this major change, but I think it is the right decision for me to sustain my grooming self moving forward
Knowing you good people, I think most of you will understand, as none of us are getting any younger, I just can't stress enough how much thought I have put into this
I thank you for taking the time to read this, as telling you all individually, will be too exhausting for me and perhaps too emotional
I look forward to seeing some of you in the new future, and bid the kindest, most grateful appreciative farewell to the ones that still need a mobile service
I THANK YOU ALL from the bottom of my heart
Ned sends a lick too, and he will be joining me daily, in my new space
