PLEASE HELP US PRESERVE THE HISTORY OF THE AUSTRALIAN COBBERDOG
For more than twenty years, Australian Cobberdogs have shared our homes, comforted our families, supported people through difficult times, worked as therapy and assistance dogs, and become beloved companions around the world.
As part of a special historical project, we are creating a permanent record of the Australian Cobberdog's journey — not just the history of the breed, but the stories of the people whose lives have been touched by these remarkable dogs.
We would love to hear from Australian Cobberdog owners, past and present.
Has your Cobberdog:
🐾 Helped a child gain confidence?
🐾 Supported someone through illness or loss?
🐾 Worked as a therapy, assistance, or service dog?
🐾 Been part of your family for many years?
🐾 Changed your life in a special way?
We invite you to share your story.
Submissions may be included in:
A future Australian Cobberdog history book
The Australian Cobberdog historical archive
Website and educational projects celebrating the breed
You are welcome to submit:
• Your story (approximately 300–1,000 words)
• Family photographs
• Photos of your dog
• Therapy, assistance, or service dog experiences
• Any special memories you would like preserved
This project is about recording the people, dogs, and memories that have helped shape the Australian Cobberdog story.
Many of the dogs who started this journey are no longer with us. Many of the people who helped build the breed have now retired. We want to ensure that their legacy — and yours — is not lost.
Every Australian Cobberdog has a story.
We would be honoured if you shared yours.
Please send your submission to: [[email protected]]
Feel free to share this invitation with other Australian Cobberdog owners, including those who may no longer be active in breeder or owner groups.
