Good luck to everyone competing in the DWD State Championships this weekend.

The competition runs today and tomorrow, between 9am and 2pm, at the Virginia Community Centre (where they have karate), so head down and have a look, it is a spectator sport, so spectators are welcome. You might even spot some of our members in the competition ring.

There's a football game on today (Saturday) so you'll need to use the entrance off Park Rd, by the Primary school

Today, we pause to remember and honour the courage, sacrifice, and spirit of the men women, and animals who have served our country.

We’re grateful for the freedom to do what we love, and we honour those who made it possible.

Just a reminder that there won't be any training this week (20/4/26) because a number of our instructors have other commitments...... But some good news, Mark and Vanessa have been busy in Sydney over the last few days, attending a workshop for their Cert IV in Animal Behaviour and Training, and have met some of their fellow Cert IV students from Adelaide, who are keen to join us as helpers/instuctors at Virginia, so be prepared to see some new faces helping us with classes soon.

Just a reminder, that there is no training tonight as it is a public holiday. Hopefully everyone got to enjoy some of the wonderful weather and the extra long weekend, and we will see you all back at training next week.

Are you interested to know more about tricks? The Dances With Dogs Advisory Committee is holding the Tricks State Championships at Dogs SA grounds (Cromwell Road, Kilburn) on Saturday 11th April. They are looking for stewards to help on the day (all training will be provided, as will drinks and lunch!). This an excellent opportunity to see what tricks competitions are all about in a friendly and welcoming environment.
If you are interested in helping out or want to know more, comment on this post or speak to instructor Jenny when you're next at training. Thanks so much!

One of our instructors has these guys (and girls) as fosters at the moment, while they are very cute and adorable, they do need to find their furever homes. They are doing puppy preschool at Positively Pawsome Training Solutions, at Nuri, and will be available to meet this Sunday at 2:30pm.
