Richard has been started and ridden out. Been to our local show for led classes.

Well suited to a performance home to Challenge/Draft. Should easily mature 15hh plus, ideal for someone chasing a bigger horse.

He is the 4th foal from Sandy who is a novice mare. Sandy has placed multiple times at the Canning Downs and Gold Cup. She he been a super consistent mare on the truck who was only retired this year at 23yrs old and still sound. First 2 progeny have made multiple draft finals.

This is the first foal crop for Royalish and they have been very easy, well mannered horses to start.

He is very well handled, well grown and ready to go in your program.

Only for sale due to my work commitments and lack of time to ride multiple young horses.

: Even professionals know when they need help. I don’t mean coaching; everyone needs coaching. But from time to time, even the pros need to get some outside assistance with the development of a horse that isn’t just lessons. I have my coach sit on my horses from time to time to check my work, and when I feel something isn’t going the right way or doesn’t feel good, I call her in. I’m not as good with the initial starting of piaffe from the ground as my friend Jess is, so she starts all mine. And recently one of my horses decided he wasn’t loading on the trailer anymore, and my bag of tricks to teach safe loading didn’t have the answer in it; I had a specialist come help.

It doesn’t mean you’re bad or dumb; it means you need an inning of relief pitching from a fresh arm, or a new perspective, or just that someone else will get you through a situation faster, better and safer 👯‍♀️

🌟 TAILS 🌟

I get asked regularly how I get my horses tails so nice!

Firstly- Genetics!!! Some of them are genetically blessed with amazing hair 😂

For the rest 🐴. . .

- Tailbags
- Good quality shampoo & conditioner
- Good nutrition
- Regular trimming

My horses live in tailbags! You might think this sounds like a really time consuming process. . . But let me tell you it’s not really and if you have a good a quality tailbag, you can certainly leave them for a few weeks at a time 🐴😊

My favourite place for tailbags- A little bit of Hilary- and the best news is that she has opened up orders currently until this Saturday the 10th!!! So I recommend getting on to that 👌🏻🥰

When I wash tails I use a good quality human shampoo & conditioner! Personal favourite is Tresemme 💕 I make sure to be very thorough on shampooing the roots, but I also am not overly thorough in washing out the conditioner 😉

I will trim a tail every time I wash! But this may only be a few mm everytime. My personal preferred length is to the bottom of the fetlock, but may change with each horse and if they pull out a lot of tail when they perform!!!

Nutrition matters! If your horses are healthy and good in the coat, they will generally grow more tail 😍 We feed Barastoc Horse, but there are multiple good quality feeds on the market! I don’t feed any supplements specifically for hair growth, although they are available.
