We are in the last ever issue of Horse Deals magazine showing some of our beautiful Waler horses for sale. 🤩🥲🔥

End of an era and I am really going to miss the ‘bible’, which was a constant staple on the coffee table, and the reason many of our horses have found their way to and from
Wedgetail.

Have you got your collectors issue yet?

Meet the real ‘Clancy of the Overflow’. If you haven’t read the works of Banjo Patterson, you should, you’d know just who I’m talking about.

This Clancy the stallion lives on a station in Australia, that coincidentally is as dry as a bone currently , but does at times overflow with water. He’s a Waler stallion. The very first Australian waler I’ve ever worked with. While not ‘wild’ and has had light handling before, not in a very long while, the rest of his herd are very much on the unhandled and wilder side though have been around humans a bit. There are to my knowledge also still wild Waler horses in Australia and are mostly from old military stock that got turned loose.

So far these horses have left an incredible impression on me. With deep intelligence, gentle natures and strong yet athletic builds that throw back to their cavalry beginnings.

I’m here for a couple of days working with them, before heading home to our wild horses back there.

If you have heard of Waler horse make sure you look them up they have a fascinating history in Australia.
