Anthony Cosgriff Racing is based at Ballarat Turf Club's world class facilities. We have saddled winnners from 975m to 4800m, in Australia and the UK.

Anthony Cosgriff has worked with top class racehorses all over the world, from Perth to New Zealand, Kentucky to North Yorkshire. As is common with some of Europe’s top trainers he is a fully qualified and experienced equine veterinarian. Since Anthony Cosgriff Racing started we have worked hard to bring all this experience to bear on horses who have often been unwanted rejects from other stables.

With our very horse-friendly country environment and 24-hour hands-on care we have achieved some real triumphs along the way. We feel very lucky to have some terrific owners and we aim to repay their faith in us by constant communication as well as winners. IT WAS LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT when we saw this beautiful filly by champion sire Pierro. Out of very talented multi-metro winner Kiss And Cry, this filly's whole page is wall-to-wall winners. Congratulations to the owners of Attaboom after his gutsy win today at Kerang, holding off a wall of late challengers from the front under English jockey Oliver Stammers (who bagged his first Australian win at just his second ride down under!)

It was a thoroughly deserved maiden win for the ultra-honest Attaboom who had run an amazing nine 2nds and four 3rds before today.

A sad farewell to one of our favourite horses and a thorough gentleman to work with Reynaire. Bought for just $2500 early last year, Reynaire won twice for us and amazingly racked up $65000 in prizemoney as well as $30000 in sales vouchers.
After looking the winner at the top of the straight last week Reynaire did not finish strongly and returned home with heat in a tendon. Given his previous history of leg issues we took the immediate decision to retire Reynaire and he has gone off to his new life as a pleasure horse. We'll miss him but he thoroughly deserves his happy retirement.

Yet another gutsy 2nd placing for Attaboom, just going down in a photo at Gunbower after a ding-dong battle up the straight. You gotta love this little horse, even if he keeps just missing!

First season sire Earthlight continued his stellar start in Europe with a French Group 1 placing this week. Meanwhile our own Earthlight 2yo Dreamer look like he means business!

We're very excited by our 2yo son of Dirty Work. Out of a FULL sister to Group 1 star Toorak Toff, this lad is already half to 3 winners of more than 400k. Early signs are that he can gallop! Still shares available.

What a gutsy run by Attaboom and Koby Jennings, fighting off fierce challenges from the front only to be nabbed late and nosed out in a photo on the line. In the last month Attaboom has racked up four second placings on the Ballarat synthetic and earnt over $21,000 in prizemoney. A win would be great but you gotta love him!

Another game run from ultra-honest Attaboom, fighting on bravely from the front under Neil Farley before getting nailed late. This is his third 2nd placing on the Ballarat synthetic in the last 3 weeks.

After a hiatus of nearly 10 weeks between runners it was great to see our two 3yos step out and jump straight into form today. Attaboom stuck on gamely for 2nd from the front, while Benny Chips In warmed right into his work to sn**ch 3rd on the line.

There have been a lot of tributes paid to Lonhro since his sad demise and while we have never been lucky enough to train one of his progeny we have purchased two yearlings out of Lonhro mares who went on to between them win 10 races and return many times their purchase price. So Lonhro was certainly a favourite of ours and hopefully our success with his grandchildren is not finished yet!

Our beautiful Doubtland filly has arrived home from the breakers in great order and is about to have a couple of weeks getting used to a busy training track before she has a well-earned break. Everyone who works with this girl rapidly falls in love with her and it's not hard to see why! Just a few shares remain.
