Monika's Doggie Rescue

Monika's Doggie Rescue Welcome to the Monika's Doggie Rescue Official page. Our Rehoming number is R251000024. Dog Walking is from 11:00am - 2:00pm Tue - Sun.

Doggie Rescue is a private registered charity that has a No-Kill policy and believes in saving and re-homing as many dogs as we can from the council pounds. Dogs rescued from the pound are microchipped, heartworm tested and vaccinated by a veterinarian, who also gives them a basic health check and provides us with an estimate of theri age. The dogs are desexed (if required) and given any additiona

l veterinary treatment to return them to good health. All of the rescued dogs are then cared for, awaiting adoption into a permanent loving home. Once the dogs have completed 8-10 days quarantine (so we can observe them for any illnesses they may have picked up) they are then available for adoption. INGLESIDE SHELTER
Our Ingleside shelter and Doggiewood shop is open Tue – Sun from 10am – 5pm (including public holidays, Christmas & Easter). We are always closed on Mondays.

🤍MEET PEARL🤍 👅🐶
🤍12yrs American Staffy x

Pearl is a sweet senior lady, who needs a peaceful retirement after a rough life. Pearl only needs a little bit of daily exercise and does not need a large home, as long as there is somewhere for her to sunbake and people are around. She is quiet when inside and happy to spend her time snoozing on her bed in the sun and cuddling on the couch. She also likes to entertain herself by finding places to hide her treats and digging them up again later. It’s very cute!
Pearl came to us from the pound in 2022, heavily pregnant.  She had an emergency caesarean and her pups were adopted when they were of age.

Pearl does need an experienced owner who can help build her confidence to navigate new situations. She is still very wary of strangers and, like most American Staffies, can be protective of her family and home. She needs a slow and positive introduction to new people and visitors.  Pearl walks well on lead  and enjoys quiet walks. She will bark loudly at people if she feels nervous or overwhelmed. She will also pull strongly towards some dogs. She would do best in a quiet environment and does not do well with cats or pocket pets.
To her new family, Pearl will be a loyal and affectionate companion, who will be happy to snuggle up on the couch with you and snooze the day away while you work from home. She does prefer women to men. She has a smooth coat and weighs 26.3kg.

To meet Pearl, please firstly make sure you have read the “5 steps to Adopt” information, and then complete the adoption questionnaire on our website.♥️

Meet Apollo, Comet, Pluto & Cosmo – Four Out-of-This-World Pups!

These four adorable Staffy X pups who are related, found themselves in the pound at through no fault of their own.

They are just 16 weeks old, and they're looking for loving homes that will give them the fresh start they deserve.

Each pup is sweet-natured, affectionate, and full of that irresistible puppy charm. They thrive on human attention and cuddles, and they’re eager to bond with their new families.

These little ones will suit a home where someone is home-based and able to devote time to training, socialisation, and helping them grow into well-rounded dogs. They’ll need all the usual puppy basics—patience, guidance, and lots of love.

If you’re ready to welcome a bright, snuggly, and playful companion into your life, Apollo, Comet, Pluto or Cosmo might just be the one for you ❤️

To meet the pups, please firstly make sure you have read the “5 steps to Adopt” information, and then complete the adoption questionnaire on our website.♥️

‼️PLEASE SHARE - URGENT ‼️ LOCATION: Port Macquarie Animal Shelter

*AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION OR RESCUE*
IMP 540 “GEORGIE”
7-year-old Neo Mastiff x

GEORGIE came to the shelter as a microchipped stray and was never reclaimed. This is GEORGIE’S second post as we are desperate to get her adopted or find a rescue who can take her. She is a large girl weighing in at 40kg with an even bigger heart. GEORGIE has a lot of love to give and is happiest when she is getting affection from people, she will happily cozy up to you once she knows you. GEORGIE appears to be dog selective but seems to prefer smaller breeds and calmer dogs; a meet and greet would be required to ensure compatibility. She knows basic commands and walks well on a lead. She would need to go to a home without children as she doesn’t seem to be too fond of them. GEORGIE has become depressed and has started to shut down in the kennels, furthering our desperation to see her leave the facility.

Her adoption fee is $430 which includes desexing, vaccination, health check, work and flea treatment and lifetime registration.
If you are interested in adopting or rescuing GEORGIE, please contact the shelter on 6583 3488 during business hours or visit email at [email protected]

Please like and share GEORGIE'S post to help her find her forever home.
