This weekend we had a full circle moment in obtaining one of our hatchings that went to a new home back in 2018. Willow is a big, social girl who has never been shy come feeding time (that's never changed!). Carolyn Dean has done an amazing job looking after her and nurturing her into the big egg making machine she is! So much in fact, that this morning we got a big suprise to find she'd laid her 5th clutch of the season!

We look forward to many more years with Willow as her designated slaves 😁

It is with great sadness that we inform you all that Peach this morning was sadly put to rest as she has battled a nasty infection.

She initially went into the Vet with a swollen leg which she was medicated for. But in the X-ray it was apparent there was something else going on, a cloudy area through the body which indicated she had some sort of infection. She had been taking medication for it for a few weeks and nothing was progressing, so in she went into the Vet which she was prescribed more medication... More time passed by and her condition was just detiorating by the day, I noticed she had lumps on her joints, which the vet said was arthritis and it wasn't looking good. After taking a swap of the pus inside her joint it was clear that she had her body was shutting down to a point of no return.

So the tough call was made, and we decided it was best she was put out of suffering this morning. A post mortum was done, and the findings were quite distressing... Whilst laying her last clutch, she had popped her uterus, and a few remaining eggs had been lodged unto the stomach (photo in comments, quite graphic). Her uterus was black and she had poly cystic ovaries...

We will miss our little Miss Peach so much, but are glad she is no longer in agony, and now she is free to chase woodies in the big desert in the sky with Mum and Dad.

RIP Peach, you are at peace now ❤
