The Next Chapter for Equine Solutions
After 25 incredible years at 59 Bowen Road, Rosslea, we’ll soon be closing the doors to our physical store in Townsville. But Liz and I will continue to support our amazing customers (and new ones) with our online store and by phone orders.
We want to sincerely thank each one of you who’s supported us and our team over the last 25 years. It’s been an honour to be part of your journeys (and thank you for being a part of ours) —whether that’s supporting North Queensland’s racing community and farriers, barrel racing, sand dancers or simply sharing stories, laughs, and countless unforgettable moments. The friendships we've made mean the world to us.
This wasn’t an easy decision. Rising operating costs, and the pressure on horse owners trying to manage rising expenses have made it difficult to keep the storefront going. With big chains and supplier direct-sales growing, running a small, independent store has become unsustainable.
Over the next week, Liz and Philippa will be transitioning Equine Solutions into an online store and will continue to take orders by phone for those of you who we know prefer to deal with us directly.
We will continue to provide the genuine, personalised service for all your horse care needs, answering any queries and providing you with your favourite equine supplements and care products. We gained a lot of knowledge over the years and sharing it is our passion.
Clearing stock to make way for our online move, we have BIG SALES and BULK DEALS, so it’s the perfect time to stock up on your favourite products. We’d love your continued support through this transition. Come in, say hi and help us turn the page of this chapter on a high.
Tomorrow, Saturday 7 June 2025 we will be open until 5:00pm to make a start of moving out our stock which is being cleared at and below cost in some instances.
We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built, grateful for the team around us and the contribution we have made to the North Queensland equine industry over the last 25 years. We know we haven’t just been a shop to so many. We’ve gone through lots with you all and proudly helped many in times of need, the several devastating floods, flooded ourselves, endured major lock downs from Equine Influenza, Hendra and COVID and we all came through those setbacks as a community, growing stronger together and we proudly look back with fondness on all those experiences. We thank you!
