It's been a while since we've posted an update.
We are poking along quietly. Some horses have moved on and others have arrived.
Friends. Forage. Freedom.

I've broken my rule about keeping them all similar colours so hubby doesn't know how many there are! ðŸĪĢðŸĪŠ

Here's some highlights of our last few months at Birdsong Park.

I had a tumble a few weeks ago (Apparently those pink jumps are super scary!
I had a really close look at it and couldn't see the demons!)

Doing things around the farm has been a little challenging as my sore back recovers.
I've had heaps of help though! From friends and hubby!
I even had some wannabe helpers try and help me unload hay today!! 😂😂

We've been a bit quiet on the socials lately, but we're still here!

Poking along quietly helping one horse at a time. Watching their feet improve on the track, whether they're OTT's and never been barefoot or just healing abscessed feet, is so rewarding!

It was trim day today.
Lisa certainly had her work cut out for her with 2 heavies to do on top of the usual crew!!
They were all so good for her!

After months of rain, the sun is out and hopefully the mud dries up soon!
The horses have decided the rain is simply exhausting!
I must agree!

But oh, what a glorious sight to behold, BLUE SKIES and no humidity!! Yay!!

Managing horses in the tropics of Australia is no easy task and not for the faint hearted!
So grateful for our huge shelter and dry spaces.
Still doing battle with hoof abscesses, fungal infections, bacterial infections and all the rest of those nasty tropical bugs. Increased the salt, feeding hay and watching for colic. Hope like hell nothing serious happens requiring a vet cos the road is closed from flooding!!
But hey, the ducks are really happy!! 😁😁

Buddy LOVES kisses!
But blowing raspberries.....he's not so sure about that!! 😁😘

(Flooded in again so keeping myself entertained)

Mammals learn through conditioning.
Safe to say, I've been well conditioned! ðŸĪĢ

And yes, Nev's mesh rug is well air-conditioned! 😁

Morning yoga with Elvis.
He's transitioned beautifully from being shod his whole life to barefoot while living on a track.
Such a character! He'll be missed when he leaves next month.

We're having a proper wet season this year.
More rain. The dams and creeks are overflowing and after this rain event we're looking forward to some nice dry, cooler riding weather! (We hope!)
