🍀10th- 14th May 🍀

With Chillagoe ABCRA and Nebo APRA coming up fast, I’ve opened up a limited 1 week spot for horses needing a tune up before heading out.

This is about getting your horse sharp, responsive and competition ready, not just ticking them over.

✔️ Improve responsiveness off the leg
✔️ Sharpen rate, stop & turns
✔️ Fix dullness and get them moving forward willingly
✔️ Build consistency so you can trust them under pressure

Perfect for horses that need a reset, confidence boost, or just that extra edge going into competition.

I also bring guidance from years of travelling with winning rodeo horses and competitive rodeo athletes, helping you identify small issues early before they turn into bigger problems down the track!

Spots are limited. Message me to secure your week đź”’

Mmb Roc O Destiny found her new home a couple of weeks ago, and we couldn’t be happier with where she’s landed Sarah Percy 🩷

After coming back from the breakers, she returned with such a happy attitude and a real willingness to go to work and learn new things. Her new owner hadn’t ridden breakers in quite some time, but “Tullee June” looked after her every step of the way, just showing the kind of mare she is.

She’s by our stud Power Of Destiny, a consistent producer of trainable, forward performance horses, by Acres Destiny; a proven sire of campdraft and performance horses known for passing on athleticism, work ethic and great minds.

She’s out of our oldest broodmare EH Kool Lynz, by Royal Spinibar (Docs Spinifex x Freckles Peppy Bar) and out of Sank O Lena, by the great Roc O Lena; an AQHA Superior Cutting horse and Register of Merit earner.

Backed by proven performance blood and generations of cow horse producers, this is a pedigree built on ability, reliability and versatility.

A blend of proven cow horse blood and modern performance, producing horses with brains, feel, and the ability to go on in any direction.

A special filly with a pedigree to match! We’re excited to see what the future holds for this one ✨

Not every improvement comes from riding 👇🏼

Regular chiropractic work is a big part of keeping horses comfortable and moving the way they should. When everything is aligned, it makes a huge difference in their softness, balance, and willingness to work.

I’ll be the first to admit I haven’t always been as consistent with it as I should be; but it’s something I’m really focusing on improving.

It’s best to stay on top of it before problems arise. What can look like a training issue is often just a horse feeling sore or uncomfortable.

A big thank you to Matteo Adornetto Equine Manipulator & Trainer for coming out to go over some of our horses this week. Matteo explains where the problems are, how they arise and how to help them feel their best in the following weeks!

Comfort first, performance follows 🤍

Don’t overtrain the good ones.

Just because a horse gives you more or learns quicker doesn’t mean you should take more from them. The ones that try the hardest are often the easiest to overdo.

It’s easy to get excited as a trainer when they’re offering that extra mile; I’ve been guilty of it myself. But learning to rein yourself back in is just as important as pushing forward. That’s been one of my biggest lessons over the past year.

Know when to stop. Reward the effort. Let them sit in the good.

That’s how you keep a willing horse willing.
