I absolutely do both. ☕️😌

Because listen…
There is a version of me that meditates at sunrise, journals in soft lighting, and speaks only in regulated, trauma-informed tones.

And then there is the 6:42am yard version of me in February,
hair feral, hands frozen, horse screaming for breakfast,
Pile of poo judging me…

And that version requires caffeine
and a well-placed swear word.

Coffee is not a luxury in horse life.
It’s a coping strategy.

It’s what stands between:
– Me and launching a haynet across Kent when they hay just won't go in......
– Me and replying “absolutely not” to the weather
– Me and questioning every life decision that led to owning a mud-coloured financial liability

And the swearing?

That’s just seasoning.
Adds flavour to the chaos.

Because sometimes self-care is a bubble bath.

And sometimes self-care is: a strong coffee,
a muttered “for f*ck’s sake” at the wind,
and carrying on anyway.

Balanced.
Regulated-ish.
Caffeinated. 🐴☕️
