Opening on the 2nd of August Charlie and Mia’s Barkery. Only 10 days to go before we open our doors at 10am on the 2nd of August. Can’t wait for you all to see Charlie and Mia’s Barkery’s home base. So many new lines and new products with even more to come.

Are your pets bored at home while you’re at work? Do you know our house visits aren’t just for those who are on holidays?

House visits are perfect for a drop in visit during the day while you’re at work/away for the day. House visits are perfect for puppies, dogs who can’t be left outside and need a bathroom/play break, for older pups or pups who fret if you’re away for long periods of time.

I have some flexibility with times and usually aim to do these visits half way through the day or late morning.

You’ll receive a cute update of your pet and the reassurance that someone is checking up on them through the day.

A good reminder when meeting new dogs or greeting dogs in general. 🐶

Most dogs don’t like to be pet on their head by strangers. Instead, if you want to say hello and you’ve asked their guardian, say hello verbally and allow the dog to choose if they want to be pet. If they come closer for a sniff, leave your hand at your side. Allow them to sniff and initiate a pet, then pet their side behind their shoulders and stop. If they want more, they’ll let you know. Consent is important for dogs, too.
