Can’t thank Dennison and Leila enough for their help making Beyond Pets come true!

Friday saw another delivery off to Lachlan at beyond Pets, getting closer to finishing off the retail fish aquariums.

Before we get those finalized Lachlan is super keen to get our new sump systems. These will be kitted out with an integrated RDF system that Dennison has had custom built for sump integration, after months researching, designing and they arrived and look awesome. We are providing 4 sumps and with these RDFs will complete the filtration for all his live stock systems. Can't wait to share the pictures in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!!!!

This will become an option for aquariums and sumps made by Dennison in the future.

Starting June 1st, Beyond Pets, Aquarium Factory Outlet, and The Aquarium House are coming together to celebrate and grow the local aquarium hobby!

Over the years, Toowoomba has built an incredible fishkeeping community filled with passionate hobbyists, aquascapers, breeders, and families who love aquariums as much as we do and we wanted to create something that brings everyone together.

Each month we’ll be running a themed aquarium photo competition, with this month’s theme being:

🐠 FRESHWATER COMMUNITY TANKS 🐠

🏆 PRIZES:The winner will receive:
• $50 voucher for Beyond Pets
• $50 voucher for Aquarium Factory Outlet
• $50 voucher for The Aquarium House

TOTAL PRIZE VALUE: $150

📸 HOW TO ENTER:
1️⃣ Take a photo of your freshwater community aquarium.
2️⃣ Comment your photo under each store’s monthly competition post.
3️⃣ The stores will collectively select 3 finalists from all entries.
4️⃣ The community will then vote for the winner on a joint finalist post!

We want this competition to:
🐟 Bring local hobbyists together
🌿 Inspire new aquascapers
🐠 Showcase amazing aquariums from around the region
❤️ Grow the aquarium hobby in Toowoomba together

This is just the beginning too…We already have even bigger collaborative events planned for the future 👀

Tiny fish… massive parenting instincts 🐟❤️

Did you know Ram Cichlids are some of the most dedicated parents in the aquarium world?

Unlike many fish that leave their eggs behind, rams work together as a pair to clean spawning sites, fan fresh water over their eggs, and fiercely protect their babies once they hatch.

They may be small, but these little cichlids take family life very seriously. ✨

After a fantastic response last Saturday, we're excited to welcome Ability Brew with Ethan back to Beyond Pets today.

With the weather turning cold and wet, there's no better excuse to grab a hot coffee while you browse the store. We're proud to support Ethan and his family's amazing venture and encourage our community to show them some love.

Graceful… until breeding season 😅🐟

Did you know angelfish are actually part of the cichlid family? Just like Oscars and Discus, these stunning fish can become surprisingly territorial - especially when protecting eggs or pairing up.

It’s one of the reasons angelfish are so fascinating to keep. Beautiful, intelligent, and packed with personality. ✨
