Unless you have an existing kitten friendly cat or dog …it’s not fair on the kitten and they get very lonely. Especially if they have grown up with siblings to play with.

Brady bunch VS Cindy update: being an ex colony kitten she was shy at first but eventually she allowed herself to be loved by her new family and new bestie.

I honestly don’t know what to do anymore? Either way I lose sleep and suffer horrible guilt. 😭😭😭😭

Society has truly lost its way. So many people nowadays are selfish, self obsessed, ignorant and some are just downright evil.

I read recently about a kitten that was injured and its wound was crawling with maggots and the people just threw it out of the window of a moving car like it was rubbish, not a living breathing feeling being. The amount of evil hate directed at cats is unbelievable fuelled by propaganda much the same as the lies about the brumbies etc.

From the govco culling of innocent animals to the cruelty, abuse and neglect of animals on the streets and in “ homes”. Its downright depressing.

Then the old cliche is applied” you can’t save them all!” Of course we can’t or all rescues would have 1000’s of animals. But knowing innocent healthy animals die unnecessarily is soul destroying.
It shouldn’t be this way. They have a right to live too.

Right now i can barely get enough regular volunteer help or ongoing financial help to support the numbers i have. If more people helped then it would be much easier and less stressful on a daily basis. But out of 8 recent volunteer applications only 2 followed through.

Of 7.5k followers on this page, less than 30 regularly donate whether its when i put out a plea for help or the $5 Friday funds or both. $5 a week … less than a store bought cup of coffee. Why do you follow my page if you cant help sustain this rescue?.

There are currently 6 healthy friendly cats in our local pounds that are running out of time. I only have 3 cage spaces (due to recent adoptions and Stacey taking on Nova to foster)
The ones i leave behind will likely die ( euth)
How do i live with that? How do i choose who to rescue? How do i look at the ones i leave behind and say I’m sorry i didn’t choose you?”

Yes, I have the space to put in more enclosures but whats the point? Its extra work that falls on me and a handful of volunteers and the financial burden is then increased for food, litter, vets, medical and maintenance.

Thankyou to people that do donate and that offer to raise funds or suggest ways, some very unique, and it all helps. But i don’t have the time to do it myself when I’m doing all the physical work too.

I don’t have answers.. (did i ever?) all i know is I’m damned if i do and damned if i don’t.. and in the meantime innocent cats and kittens will die through no fault of their own😭and most people don’t even bat an eyelid😭

Please find a way to keep your cats safe inside. If these new gvt containment laws proposed come in it will give cat haters and vigilantes in NSW even more reason to kill your pets or take them to our outdated pound systems without anywhere near holding capacity. They will be killed before you even know they are missing. It happens already in other states!!!
