🐾💙 GOLDEN OLDIE FOSTER CARER NEEDED — NITRO 💙🐾

Meet Nitro — A Little Old Man Who Just Wants A Couch, Some Cuddles & Someone To Love ❤️

Our beautiful 13.5-year-old Mini Foxie, Nitro, is looking for a very special golden oldie foster home.

Sadly, just over two weeks ago, Nitro was attacked by a large dog while out on his morning walk. 💔 Thankfully, he is recovering well and his wounds are healing.

💙 What Does Golden Oldie Foster Mean?
We are looking for a long-term foster home for Nitro, where he can remain in Paw Prints Canine Rescue's care for the rest of his life.

Nitro is not currently dying, but due to his age, health and recent trauma, we don't feel he is currently suitable for adoption.

The Rescue will continue to cover his approved veterinary care and vet bills while he remains in foster care.

You provide the home, love and cuddles — we provide the Rescue support. 🐾

🛋️ What Nitro Really Wants

Nitro doesn't need adventures or a busy lifestyle.

He simply wants:
🛋️ A comfy couch
❤️ Lots of pats and chest scratches
🏡 A calm, safe home
🐾 Someone happy to let him potter around and be Nitro

He's a typical little Mini Foxie who adores human company and loves being close to his person.

🐶 What About Other Dogs?
Nitro is dog friendly, but prefers calm dogs who respect his personal space. He's not a fan of puppies or dogs who want to be constantly in his face.

He's also perfectly happy being the only little man soaking up all the attention! ❤️

Nitro doesn't need someone to fix everything.

He just needs someone willing to sit beside him, give him a scratch, let him claim the couch and love him for exactly who he is. 💙🐾

We think Milo would make an incredible companion for someone with a farm, acreage, or a tradie who wants a loyal mate by their side each day. He forms strong bonds with his people and would happily spend his days working alongside you before curling up in his crate for a well-earned sleep at night.

🎾 Completely ball obsessed – absolutely loves and is obsessed with ball chasing and fetch is his favourite game!
🍖 Very food and treat motivated, making him eager to learn
❤️ Friendly with people and other dogs
🧠 Highly intelligent and loves having a job to do
Milo is an incredibly loyal and affectionate dog who simply wants to be included in your daily life. When his mind isn’t kept busy, he can become bored and find his own ways to entertain himself, so he’ll do best with an active owner who enjoys training, adventures, or having a canine workmate.

On walks, Milo can pull on the lead and may bark when he’s feeling frightened or unsure. With continued training, patience, and confidence-building, he has every opportunity to improve.🐾

Because of his prey drive, Milo cannot live with chickens, guinea pigs or other small pocket pets.

Milo also has an allergy to chicken, so he’ll need a chicken-free diet to keep him feeling his best.💯

We desperately need more small dog foster carers!

We have lots of small dogs who really need some love before they will be ready to start their adoption journey.

From tiny Chihuahuas to scruffy terriers, we are sure to have a dog to suit your home.

Some are dog and cat friendly; some would do well as only pets.

Romeo and Ballerina - Best Friends

Romeo (4 white Maltese) and Ballerina (5 chocolate Poodle) are a package deal. They're happiest together and look to each other for company and reassurance.

They've been in foster care long enough for us to get to know them well, and what they need now is the right home to call their own.
