For those that are already Riding School clients it’s the best way to ride more and go up a level by spending time at Camp!

Camps are by the day from Monday - Friday,
8.30am - 4.30pm.
AGES 6-15yrs
$495 for 5 days. $115 for single days.
LOCATION- Thornlands on the suthside Brisbane.

The “German Training Scale”….or our BIBLE for Training the Horse!
In German as follows:

Takt (Rhythm)
• Losgelassenheit (Relaxation)
• Anlehnung (Contact)
• Schwung (Impulsion)
• Geraderichten (Straightness)
• Versammlung (Collection).

It was developed from the German cavalry’s.
Today, these classic principles are applied to the present-day training and used as a platform to illustrate the steps that are crucial to the correct training for the horse and rider from the young horse through to Grand Prix and international levels.
None of the six elements of the training scale stands by itself. They all work together and interact and depend on one another. Each quality of training is systematically incorporated into the training of the horse and rider.
Throughout the Training these “building blocks” must be steadily built like the foundation to a building. The Trainer/Rider must constantly adhere to and confirm the horse through the scale with confidence, trust, understanding and with strength building exercises.
This is what is required to eventually achieve the goal of Grand Prix or Olympic Level.

It takes time, (several years in fact), patience…. after all “Rome was not built in a day”!

Good Morning….meet Pedro(I like the Spanish Name !!), created especially for you by one of our girls!
Pedro represents the Parts of the Horse!
At Heritage once the Riders are ready they are put onto nominated Squads which is indicative to Skill Level. We then run “Squad Days” where Riders do a Theory and Ridden Component. They are also given Work Books to study, fill in and learn all about horses and ponies🐴🐴😁! Just another awesome activity we offer at Heritage Riding!
