Popular Poodle Clips #6 - The Lion Clip
A true classic, the Lion gives that true poodle look without the extravagance and “big hair” of the Continental clip that poodles are generally shown in.
With pompoms on the tail and all four legs and a fluffy chest, it’s easy to see where this clip gets its name!
Mango has been sporting this clip for a while and the “mane” around her chest area is particularly long, almost 2 inches. Keeping her free of knots requires daily combing, to the skin, from front to back, but it’s worth the effort, I think! Most often for ease of care around 16mm would still give the look without quite so much work to maintain.
Fancy grooms aren’t for everyone, but that’s ok! Simple, functional grooms can look just as amazing while keeping things easy and comfortable for both you and your pup 🥰

Oh, my heart! 🥰 Cuteness overload at Dooz for Dogz with the sweet little Louis the Cavachon visiting for his first groom. Such a good boy - even with the little puppy wiggles! It’s so important for young pups to have a safe and happy first visit, and with a few little treats on the side and plenty of love and cuddles, Louis had exactly that!

Wulfric is a young Belgian shepherd who has been visiting Dooz for Dogz since he was just a wee pup - he’s certainly all grown up now! Very relaxed in the tub and on the table, it shows how starting a puppy’s grooming journey well creates a calm and relaxed adult for life.
