For me, my job of treating your horse doesn't just start when I drive through your gate, nor does it end when I hop back in my car and leave for the next client.
My job starts as soon as you book. I am already thinking of the issues your horse may have and planning (in my head) the best course of treatment to try. After the treatment, when I have driven away (and for weeks afterwards), I will think about the way your horse responded - was it a positive response or negative? Could I have done something differently to effect a bigger difference? Should I have done less? Usually the horse is in a type of euphoria following a massage, and the true 'results' of my treatment are not clear for a day or two afterwards. I wonder in those days how your horses' muscles and tissues are - is your horse comfortable? Are you happy with the treatment? Do you have any questions?
At the end of the day, when I am at home taking notes of the clients that day, I schedule in a call-back to you within the next couple of days, hoping to hear that your horse is much happier, more comfortable and that I have in fact made a difference to their wellbeing.
If something became evident (or you asked a question) that I didn't have an answer for, I will spend my days researching it and finding answers or at least other options to see if I can help your horse.
You see, I have studied bodywork/biomechanics for over 6 years, studied Equine Sports Massage for 2 years, acupuncture for 12 months, currently studying herbal medicine and nutrition, and attended various other clinics and workshops because I LOVE horses - always have, always will. I want to make a difference in horses' lives because they are such beautiful creatures and they are my passion ❤.
