But in reflection.. it looks like we are settling into suburban life again with gusto.

Changed doesn’t mean it’s the end of something it means we might have to look at things from a different angle and have a slight direction change.
I love my fluffy friends, and I love the pleasure. It gives them when after three long hard determined weeks they get to get off their nest with a handful of babies.

I like the occasional eating egg in there as well, but it’s all for the babies 😝😉💋

I might not be able to keep 50 roosters in my front yard any more but every spring and summer I will still be able to have those clucky hands hatch some babies that we can pass on and continue sharing the fluffy friend love ❤️❤️❤️

So that’s a wrap….
The farm is now closed.

The end of a beautiful era

The last 3 months have been exceptionally challenging…
3 rounds of brain radiation, packing down an entire farm, animals, infrastructure and house and yards, school holidays, Christmas and New year.

I now need to adjust to suburbia with a street light outside my bedroom window, 24 hour trucks going past at our house as it’s on the main highway going through a little suburb called Jennings and neighbours scrully next door not 5 acres away 😂 

Plus side is we have settled with our five year old
staffie cross Wesley, a dozen chickens and chics (even Heyhey has been quiet and well behaved!!!)
And the kids are enjoying being closer to friends where they can ride their bikes safely to n fro school and the corner shop.

Perhaps just a little bit of hatching may be on the cards after all…
I didn’t think I had the heart for it but….
Maybe I now need to consider replacing the incubator 🤔😂❤️
