EDITED! WE NOW DO HAVE VETS IN TOWN TOMORROW AND FRIDAY!! 👩‍⚕️

Due to criminals damaging our vehicle in Ali Curung, we are returning early to Tennant Creek.
We will instead be going to AMPILATWAJA NEXT WEEK Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday once repairs have been completed. Thankyou Adam and team at Jacal for helping us out of a pickle yet again!
We are still only able to take on urgent cases these next 3 days as we are returning with a car load of dogs from Ali Curung in need of treatment from our team before we can drop them back to community.

Tonight we farewell vet Niamh who has spent the past 2.5 weeks with us.
Thankyou for joining us on a Territory adventure Niamh! Your love and care for the animals and your team mates will leave a long lasting impact, please come visit again!

This means that there will instead be no vet in town Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning.
Please call 0447471399 if you have any animal concerns.

Kelsey is away for the next few weeks enjoying a well-deserved break, and we’re very grateful to have locum vet Sophie joining us while she’s away!

Sophie has joined us from South East Queensland, where she runs a thoroughbred farm. She graduated from Sydney University in 1994 and has worked across dairy and mixed practice in Tasmania, Victoria and NSW before settling in Queensland, where she spent the past 20 years in small animal practice.

When she’s not at work, Sophie has a small menagerie of her own - three much-loved dogs (two Ridgebacks and a Dachshund), a cat, chickens, guinea fowl, horses and cattle… as well as a two-legged family!

She’s really looking forward to meeting the animals of Tennant Creek, getting to know our clients and exploring this spectacular part of the country.

Please join us in welcoming Sophie to the team! 🐾

Another whirlwind trip to remote communities with central desert under the belt ! Dressed in the best by Australian Scrubs Company 🙏
While it was a tough decision to proceed despite being unable to find a new vet to cover one of these weeks, we hope our clients understand that big jobs like this enable us to stay afloat financially which helps to ensure we can continue providing vet care to NT into the future, 6 months and 6 years from now!

This sweet boy (along with his brother) is waiting patiently at the pound for someone to take him home and show him the love he deserves. There was a lady that came in and was keen to adopt him if he was surrendered, which he has been but unfortunately we have lost her contact info!! They are wolfhound X and should weigh approx 25-30kg at marure healthy weight. $300 adoption fee includes desexing, microchip and council registration, you'll just need to pay for his mange treatment separately. Please contact us and Barkly Regio al Council on 08 89620000. Please share this post to help us find the lady who wanted him, or find him another good home!

No one has come looking for this baby girl found on peko road, so we need to find her a new home or a foster carer in the interim. A very sweet quiet gentle healthy girl who we've been calling Charlie 🥰 estimated to be about 3 months old
