The newly adopted kitten from Glenfield Rd Animal Shelter received a vet check and vaccinations today from Dr Furqan and was cared for by Nurse Macey. He found a comfy spot in Maceys jacket before waiting for his new family.

On this ANZAC Day, we pause to remember not just the brave soldiers who served, but also the loyal animals who stood by their side 🐾

From horses carrying troops across difficult terrain to dogs delivering messages and providing comfort, these faithful companions showed incredible courage. They shared the hardships, offered comfort during the darkest moments, and saved countless lives.

This statue of Bill the bastard symbolises how horses assisted the troops during WW1. Bill was a fractious, fierce and some thought unbreakable chestnut, Waler, stallion who became a Great War legend for his incredible stamina and effort in saving many soldiers’ lives. He was one of over 130,000 Australian horses that served in the First World War, who were never to return home. You can visit the statue in Murremburrah NSW.

Patient Jax received treatment from Nurse Erin for a soft tissue injury sustained after an incident. Nurse Erin is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Science at CSU and is employed here to gain practical experience and further her knowledge in a busy veterinary environment.

These adorable little ones were scheduled to receive their second round of vaccinations. This was a crucial step before they were set to participate in the Sydney Royal Easter Show, a significant event. Nurse Macey had to get a photo with the babies.
