Above and Beyond Dog Training and Rehabilitation Hi my name is Cathy Grant and I am a Nationally Accredited Dog Trainer. I studied with National Dog Training Federation in Sydney.

My training is based on what your dog requires. I will listen to you and help keep your dog apart of your family. I studied with NDTF who base their training on real facts. i spent a week learning from one of Australia's best trainers The Dog Father based in Townsville. I have completed Nepopo training with K9 Solutions in WA. My training is suited to the dog that is presented before me.

Are you looking at growing your pup into a good dog the try our puppy classes. We teach you many skills.
Expect to be actively working with your pup during our classes.
You will learn more about your pup but what to try and prevent as your pup matures.
It can be very overwhelming so we try to nurture you with info but there is certainly a lot yo take on board.
Our puppy classes start Sat 27th June at 8 30am.

There was lots happening in our advance class this arvo from lots of close proximity work for our nervous dogs. Work once again on the importance of understanding our leash control. We also began working on another sequence of adding different behaviours with movement of owners. Definitely tough but this group is a tough bunch!
Thanks everyone we will see you all in 2 weeks after our short break.

Last class with the intermediate group this arvo. Goals were to learn free shaping skills, a trick or obedience skill. To walk loose leash and to learn better communication skills by not having a tight leash. To have a better marker system and to understand it.
To improve confidence of dog and handler. Doing a trick pushes owners to work outside the box. To improve their skills while working on new skills.
Thanks again to this group of owners for stepping up after basic obedience.

Odour class last night. This is Audrey and she works so hard to find the odour. Every dog works so very different. Audrey is hardly able to control herself as she bounces from one to the next where other dogs are slower and mythical by sniffing everything. All the energy is different. The body language is different. Their indication is different but at the end of the day they get the job done. The owners must understand their dog and the dog needs to source the odour amongst all the odours present in and out of the shed. They must continue to work despite the stimulus around them. Their impulse to stay on task is beautiful to watch. Everyone did an amazing job last night but picked Audrey's video as she brought lots of laughter in her antics.

We are announcing new dates for all
our classes to begin for the next course.
Puppy Sat 27th June 8.30am.
Intermediate Sat 27th 3.30pm.
Basic Sun 28th 8.30am.
Advance as per normal rolling each week
on a Sunday afternoon 3.30pm.
All classes are 6 weeks x 1 hour $270.
If you are interested in joining i do require your email address.
We want to help you understand your dog more.
Our air is to teach better skills so you can help your dog.
We always aim to make each class something special but ask that you also respect each person attending and also respect our equipment we offer to you each lesson. We want everyone to enhance training as fun and not a chore. If you want to try obedience with a difference then give us a try.
