Happy New Year Everyone!

I had the pleasure of seeing in the new year with these two beautiful dogs! We had a party celebrated with party hats, glow sticks and treats!
Our time spent together included cuddles, treats and definitely a lot of fun!

A few fireworks were set off nearby and I made sure both the dogs were reassured! They were loving the extra treats they were given!

We had such a wonderful night together!

I am looking forward to a great year supporting dogs and their families in the Barossa!

Hello Everyone!
I have a question that I have not found the answer to.
What makes a dog unique?

I absolutely love working with a wide range of sizes and breeds of dogs! One thing that I most look forward to when getting to know or meeting a dog is discovering their personality traits, things they like and dislike, funny and unique behaviours and what their way of showing love is, whether it is sitting/ laying next to them, bringing their special toys to them or any other possible ways.

With my previous dog Richie we had so many fun experiences together! Richie loved shredding cardboard boxes, treasure hunts, iq toys, tug of war, sniff walks and endless playing with toys!
Richie was so adaptive to environments and he based his energy on the people around him. Richie was a positive dog that if he had his humans with him everything is okay!

I believe every dog isn’t the same, just like humans! I can guarantee if you have/ had a dog you can think of at least one thing you find funny or unique s/he did!

What crazy weather are we experiencing at the moment!
We currently have a warning for thunderstorms in parts of South Australia. Bureau of Meteorology has said severe damaging winds and large hailstones are predicted.
Make sure to Shut and ensure all gates or ways your dog/s could escape are blocked off.
Please remember to keep your dog/s safe and if possible bring them inside with you!!

This is Dixie!
Dixie and I had such a blast playing together earlier this week! Dixie is such a sweet, kind hearted and energetic girl! Whilst I was looking after Dixie we played many games together but I believe her top picks were definitely fetch and tug of war!
I look forward to spending more time and playing with Dixie later on!

This is Alfie! What a handsome boy he is!
He is a German Shorthaired Pointer. Alfie is a loveable, caring and charming boy.
I have worked with Alfie for just over a year, and let me tell you I don’t regret any moment that we spent together!

If you are looking for someone who adores dogs, loves spending time, playing, engaging and walking dogs…. To either visit them while you’re on holiday, give them regular walking sessions per week, caring for them overnight, or even entertaining them with engaging games while you’re attending a special event or spending time with family.

Hi Everyone!
I am so glad you have liked Barossa Dog Nanny.
I thought it would be a good time to introduce myself and why I have recently launched Barossa Dog Nanny.

The dog pictured in the logo, is Richie. My most treasured best friend. He was a rescue dog but sometimes I wonder if he really rescued me. Richie started off as a small pup, but we always thought how cute his HUGE paws were. Little did we know, Richie would just continue to grow…and grow….and GROW!
Through having Richie I learnt so much about dogs who had anxiety, and tools and tricks to help them through. Through working with Sara from Positively Pawsome Training Solutions, I learnt how to view the world from my dogs perspective. Richie and I loved going for walks, exploring the world, scent work, basic training and obedience, obstacle courses and trips to the beach.
Sadly in 2021 Richie crossed the rainbow bridge and I experienced the grief of losing my best mate. I wanted to find a way to honour him and soon had my first client for regular sitting who I have also grown to love.
From a young age I have had the mind of an entrepreneur, I don’t like school too much but I do seem to understand business.

You have probably read that I am 14 and in year 9 at school. So, at the moment, Barossa Dog Nanny will operate outside of school hours but through weekends, school holidays and before and after school I would love to help you with your dog! Its always worth checking to see if I am available!

So this is a little bit about me, I look forward to hearing a little bit about you!
