Unfortunately work didn't allow me to compete today but the little I saw when I popped out was great.
Fantastic to see our friends from Armidale and surrounds and others who travelled to compete at our 2nd competition.
Our TAG members continue to improve and show their support and enthusiasm for growing agility in the Tamworth area.
Thank you to everyone who helps out, at the risk of missing someone I won't mention names, but you are all fantastic and appreciated.
I only took a couple of photos so feel free to add any you might have.
And don't forget, with The Grand Prix being cancelled our September comp is now on the 26th & 27th.

Our first beginners comp was a huge success. It wasn't necessarily about numbers or clear runs, but the support and friendly atmosphere was fantastic.
At the risk of missing someone I won't mention individuals, but we'd like to thank everyone who helped out on the day (and in the lead up), many hands make lightwork and the fact that so many of our members who weren't competing turned up to help is a testament to the enthusiasm for agility in Tamworth.
There were improvements, some frustrations (πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ) and some laughs.
I hope you enjoy the photos (videos added in comments) if you have any to add please do.

For the information of competitors attending our first Beginners competition on Sunday.

Things to remember:
*Dogs are not to be tied up, they can be crated or in your car.
*No food treats on course
*You can have a toy in the ring but only if you are having an NFC (not for competition) run.
*No collars or harnesses etc during your run. It's handy to have a slip lead or 2, which you can throw away at the start or tuck down your pants, just make sure it doesn't fall out!
*Try to get your dog to toilet before your run, if they go in the ring you're disqualified (and other competitors won't be happyπŸ™„)
*You will have time to walk the course with everyone else, this is where you work out the order & your strategy for running it. At least 3 times is good, 1st getting the order, 2nd looking at lines seeing what the dog is looking at, 3rd move thru as though it's your run, ie cross here etc. And watch & listen to others as they may give you ideas to help your run but remember you know your dog the bestπŸ‘Œ.
* Have fun! None of us are playing for sheep stations, especially for this comp it's about learning and having a go and supporting each other.
* Set up will start from 12, dogs measured at 1.30, 1.45 debriefing, 2pm start.
* The judge believes the comp will be finished by 5-5.30 for take down.
* There will be some light refreshments available on an honour system, all profits to the club.
Spectators & helpers more than welcome.
