To answers some question.. Yes we are still registering horses.
As for the complaint.. ‘What is it you would like to be updated about.’
1) Currently we are in the middle of a COVID epidemic.
2) WHR is a volunteer run registry.. we are running on a skeleton staff, due to the fact that most volunteers are struggling to earn an income at the moment due to job loss. We have 3 volunteers doing 4 hours a week each.
3) Facebook is such a horrible social media forum with the bullying, bitching and whinging that goes on.. no one wants to spend what little time we have to come on here.
Now to the the most important update I have.

THIS FACEBOOK PAGE WILL BE SHUT DOWN IN 72 HOURS unless we can two suitable adjudicators to run the page.

Otherwise our only option will be to have updates available on the Notice Board on the website. If any members would like to share any show results or other interesting horse news, they can email us and it will be loaded on the Notice Board.

Please bear in mind we are a volunteer run registry Not the AQHA .. we do not have a full time paid staff with a dedicated Social Media person. We are doing our best in a currently, challenging environment, to keep on top of paperwork.

If anyone would like to volunteer to remotely enter horses into our data base your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Sadly we lost thousands of entries when our previous server supply company Experienced a server crash where they lost all information from 3 out of their 200 servers and as luck would have it our data base and back up data base where on 2 of them.

POSITIONS FOR 2017
I am now looking for well over 80 people to start in the new year. The roles I have been asked to fill are varied, but are all on large cattle station which are privately owned.
It is true that I will only recruit for employers who mentor staff, anywhere you end up going to through Bush Recruitment you will be in a very good environment, you will also be working with the other staff who have high morals and integrity that are mostly my recruits. Bikes or Horses are used and if you dont want to ride a horse the employers wont put you on one.
I am looking for the following.
• Stationhands 30
• Governesses (qualified Teachers) 3
• Station cooks 7
• Leading Hands 5
• Head Stockmen 6
• Mustering pilots (chopper) 3
• First year Jackaroos, Jillaroos 30
• Station Gardener/Handyman 5
• Stationhand couple 1

DATABASE ISSUES

What is actually going wrong when entering points into the database:
We enter the points data and instead of calculating all the WP points or all of the HUS points to give a total, the database is listing each individual entry, one under the other, so we end up with a list a mile long of each individual event from each individual show.
IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAS ANY IDEA WHAT MAY BE THE PROBLEM.. Please let us know. Cheers.

YOU OPINONS WANTED FOR
** PROPOSED RULE CHANGES **

1.

1. All horses registered with the WHR will have the percentages of blood they carry, be it QH, PH, App, TB etc., listed clearly on their registration papers.

2. Dual Registration: Those who carry a percentage of QH & PH or QH & APP blood, will be eligable for dual registration and will have their percentages listed on their registration papers.

3. Would members prefer 2 seperate registration papers or 1 set with both registration numbers on them?

Please let us know your thoughts.

ADVERSE REACTION TO HENDRA VACCINE

If your horse has had an adverse reaction to the Hendra vaccine, please report it to the APVMA. Even if you have no proof and/- suspect it was due to the vaccine, the APVMA want to know about it. You do NOT need proof.
Please report direct to APVMA, even if you think your vet may have already reported it.
Now, more than ever, this is extremely important because of it's impact on the Goverment Inquiry.
