One or two rabbits?!?

A question that can cause quite a debate.
However it's a fact that bunnies are social animals and most often are happier if they have a bunny friend.

The optimum coupling would be a male & female and if you want that to work long time without further bunnies clearly you would have to desex at least one of the two, but ideally both.
Two females can also live in harmony together. The highest chance of success would be two sisters. However you can also introduce two females that are unrelated to each other given that you will take measurements to slowly getting them used to each other. Best option in this case would be two spayed females as they can be territorial otherwise.
Two males could also be fine with each other BUT if you want to have them live happily ever after together please desex them!!! Why??? Whilst they might get along fine for a while that can change and if they fight it can get really nasty!!! On the plus side they will be calmer once desexed and less smelly. 😉
